The PFO closure on Tuesday, September 2nd was a success! I have been resting, recovering, and behaving over the past week.

I will be returning to the office tomorrow, Tuesday September 9th with a normal schedule.

Thank you to everyone for all the kind words, well wishes, and prayers. I'm feeling good and should be able to resume rigorous activities such as cycling, running, pull ups, etc within another week.

See you soon!

I have been scheduled to have the patent foramen ovale (PFO) closed on Tuesday, September 2nd. As a result, I will be out of the office on Monday September 1st (Labor Day), Tuesday, September 2nd for the procedure through Friday, September 5th for recovery/healing. (If I can negotiate w/ the doctors, I would like to return on Friday, September 5th with a lighter schedule to ease back into things).

If you are already scheduled for that week, I'll reach out to you to reschedule your appt.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and support.

I want to wash your car for you. You want me to wash your car for you. That's perfect.

Come on down to Iroquois High School this Saturday between 9 and noon for a good ol' fashioned car wash fundraiser for the Iroquois Marching Band.

Will I wear the gold sequin band dad outfit? Will I wear Daisy Dukes? Either way, it will be a fun way to support your Iroquois Marching Braves. (Go do some mudding in your vehicle...make me work and earn those fundraising dollars...I challenge you!)

See you Saturday!

Many people have been asking me what the bars in the garden are for. There bars are not a trellis for growing vegetables.

The bars are pull up bars, plain and simple.

It is my belief there are not enough publicly accessible pull ups bars... So, I decided to be the change I want to see in the world.

If you are coming for an appointment, walking through the neighborhood, or driving by stop by to work on your pull ups. Can't do a pull up? No problem. These bars are here for you to practice. A simple dead hang is great for stretching & decompressing the spine. Hanging from a bar will help improve your grip strength. Studies have shown a direct correlation between grip strength and longevity... So stop by the office to help you live longer!

I will be adding more fitness equipment over the coming years. There are no fitness trails in the community, so I figured I'd just build my own instead.

Feel free to stop by and use the equipment at your own leisure and risk.

Don't want to do pull ups alone? No worries. Pop your head into the office and I'll gladly do them with you.

Sue is at it again this summer. Each year Sue uses the gardens are her canvas to create a new and unique design.

This year Sue created a dragon in the front bed, a tree in the back bed, waves beneath the sign, and a sun burst on the side lot. She has certainly outdone herself this year! The attention to detail is unlike anything you'll see anywhere else.

New hibiscus flowers are popping open every morning. Be sure to stop by to check out this year's design.

Thank you, Sue!

Again, thank you, for all of the outpouring of support and well wishes over the past week and a half.

I returned to the office last week on a limited basis, but this week I am resuming a full schedule!

I'm not experiencing any physical lingering effects from the stroke and my energy seems to be back to normal as well. I have also resumed my normal workout routine with slight modifications with the support of the doctors.

I'll be seeing you soon!

If you have heard the rumors, they are true.

On Thursday, July 17th, I suffered a mild stroke likely caused by a patent foramen ovale within my heart (a hole between the right and left atrium...a hole that I was born with).

I was performing push ups at the time of developing stroke like symptoms around 5:30 AM. Quick recognition of the symptoms and an immediate reaction to getting to the hospital promptly, I was administered TNK by 6:50 AM.

Time is of the essence when it comes to stroke treatment. It was the quick treatment and my fitness level that allowed for such mild damage and a quick recovery.

I have essentially made a full recovery with limited residuals. If you were to look at me and talk with me, you wouldn't think I suffered a stroke...but alas I did. The biggest lingering effect is fatigue.

I will be back in the office this week, but I'll be easing into returning to a full schedule. Feel free to reach out to me to schedule or feeling free to schedule online. I appreciate your patience and understanding.

I've already adjusted my kids, Preston and Peyton, so the hands still have the speed!

It will take a lot more than a mild stroke to knock this guy down!

See you soon!

The office location is currently experiencing a power outage. The best part about chiropractic is that it is natural. I will remain open during the power outage because all we need is a flat surface and my hands.

I will be unable to process payments or schedule follow up appointments. I will be able to return emails, text messages, FB messages, and make phone calls via my cell phone.

See you soon.

A reminder I am out of the today Monday, June 16th. We are taking Preston to Slippery Rock University for his college orientation.

The schedule for this week is filling up. I have a handful of appointments remaining in the mornings of Thursday and Friday.

I will be out of the office all next week for our annual vacation. Please be sure to schedule as soon as you can. I will do my best to accommodate people early, during my lunch break, and staying late.

My schedule will ease up in July. Be proactive instead of reactive.
