The successful candidate will work closely with production and engineering staff.
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead early involvement for part development with customers
• Manage projects from inception to completion to satisfy customer requirements
• Assist the customer in product development for manufacturability
• Assist with troubleshooting and improving existing tooling
Job Requirements:
• Some experience with 3D solid modeling software, Creo Parametric preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Self-motivated
• Able to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Knowledge of molding processes is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Minimum requirement is an Associate Degree in related field
• Experience in a manufacturing environment

This position has great opportunity for advancement. The Tool & Die Maker Apprentice will have the opportunity to further their hands-on training along with company paid education as part of the Pennsylvania State Certified Apprentice Program. Apprentices will be working with and learning from the area’s leading Journeyman Toolmakers. They will work and gain necessary skills required to perform mold repair and modifications as directed to meet customer specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be willing to train and work with experienced Toolmakers
• Candidates must be comfortable working in a shop environment
• Work from blueprints, sketches, concepts and verbal instructions
• Operate conventional tool room machinery and equipment and possess an understanding of the basic operation (i.e. mill, grinder, etc.)
• Assist with diagnose and correct die and tooling difficulties
• Use tool room precision measuring equipment
• Check, measure, and inspect all types of die components, and tooling for accuracy
• Observe all company rules and procedures including housekeeping, quality of work and safety
• Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes
• Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards
REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to read blue prints and use measuring equipment
• Good communication skills
• Full range of body motion, including the use of both hands for repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prefer candidates with previous tooling experience in a manufacturing environment
• Technical school classes in tool & die and/or mold making or related field is preferred
• Pre-employment basic skills test will be administered

Job Summary:
• This position includes overseeing/management of new mold/die constructions, repair and revision projects.
• It is a first shift position and offers the most competitive wage in our region and a complete benefit package including end of year bonus, profit sharing and matching 401k.
Job Responsibilities Include:
• Perform maintenance, oversee construction of plastic injection molds & dies cast die repair and revision.
• Read blueprints, sketches, or descriptions to determine processes required to build, repair or revise molds or dies.
• Set up and operate machine tools such as EDM, lathe, milling machine, and grinder, to machine parts, and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications.
• Ability to fit and assemble complex injection molds and die cast dies.
Minimum Job Requirements:
• 5+ years tool/mold making experience, preferably in an injection molding/die casting manufacturing environment.
• Journeyman card a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
