From November 17th to November 25th, there will be a turkey hiding around the school. When you find him, snap a picture of him in his hiding spot and send the picture to MackenzieB@glit.edu. By sending a photo, you will be entered for a chance to win a prize! The turkey you are looking for is like the one pictured below. The turkey will not be hiding in offices or classrooms. You can find him in common areas easily accessible to all students. Happy Hunting!

A VERY WELL-DESERVED CONGRATULATIONS to our newest Fall 2025 GRADUATES, who had their Commencement at TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy earlier this week!

We were happy to honor students graduating from the Massage Therapist program at Great Lakes Institute of Technology and the Cosmetology Operator program at Toni&Guy Hairdressing Academy - Erie!

We were also delighted to welcome Tony Piccirillo, former Executive Director of Great Lakes Institute of Technology and TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy, to give our commencement address for the evening.

Thanks to our two special guests for taking the time to meet with our students: Sarah from UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care and Chantelle from Children's Community Pediatrics. Taking time out of your busy schedules to meet with our students is very much appreciated!

Our Fall 2025 GLIT Career Fair will be held TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY, Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 11am-1pm at Great Lakes Institute of Technology! It is a great opportunity to interact with employers, hand-deliver resumes, and make an impression with hiring managers! Come dressed to impress, bring copies of your resume, and shake some hands!

All of our current students will be in attendance! Dental Assistant, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Medical Assistant, and Surgical Technologist graduates are always invited and encouraged to attend!

If you're unemployed, need a change, or just want to get back into the field, be sure to make an appearance!
