Great Lakes Institute of Technology is happy to announce the return of Food Truck Days!

Join us on numerous days throughout the summer — with possibly even more dates to be added later into the fall! Each scheduled food truck will be parked in our south parking lot from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM.

Skip packing a lunch or going elsewhere, and come support local businesses while enjoying some great food!

We’re looking forward to a summer full of good eats!!!

Last Friday was a special day at Great Lakes Institute of Technology as our dental and medical assistant graduates were proudly pinned in front of classmates, family, friends, faculty, and staff. The pinning ceremony marks the successful completion of rigorous classroom and laboratory training and symbolizes the transition from student to hands-on clinical healthcare professional. We are incredibly proud of our graduates as they take this important step into the healthcare workforce and begin making a difference in their communities.

Last Friday was a special day at Great Lakes Institute of Technology as our dental and medical assistant graduates were proudly pinned in front of classmates, family, friends, faculty, and staff. It was our Daytime Medical Assistants’ time to shine! The group did a wonderful job during yesterday’s mock interviews. They took the experience seriously, put forth great effort, and showed enthusiasm throughout the day. Interviewing can be a very nerve-wracking experience, but this group persevered and demonstrated strong confidence and belief in themselves. They should all hold their heads high!

A very special shoutout to our employer partners who participated in Mock Interview Day: Jenna Mitchell from LECOM Health and Sarah Perkins from UPMC GoHealth. Without your time, support, and feedback, our students would not receive the valuable interview experience they need to succeed and impress in future interviews. Our Medical Assistant evening class had the opportunity to showcase their interviewing skills this week, and they did an outstanding job! The students exhibited great passion, energy, and professionalism in the medical field throughout the interview process.

A huge thank you to Sarah Perkins from UPMC GoHealth Urgent Care for taking the time to meet with our evening students. We truly appreciate her support and are excited that she will be returning this week to conduct interviews with our daytime Medical Assistant students as well!
