Our Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Evening students at Great Lakes Institute of Technology are seeking pregnant women to gain hands-on experience and improve their proficiency in monitoring developing babies.

If you are pregnant and interested in helping these students learn, please consider volunteering or just spread the word to anyone who is. This will not only help the students, but also give expecting mothers additional opportunities to see their baby’s progress and get more pictures.

They will be in the Lab Monday through Thursday evenings with exams beginning at 5:45PM.

Our final group of students to showcase their skills in mock interviews was our Diagnostic Medical Sonographer evening class!

They had the opportunity to meet with staff from Great Lakes Institute of Technology and step into a real interview setting. It’s never easy to present yourself in front of leadership, but they rose to the challenge with confidence and professionalism.

Each student pushed past their nerves and demonstrated just how strong of interviewers they’ve become. We’re proud of their growth, and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!

Our Surgical Technologist students participated in mock interviews last week and did an outstanding job. After spending the entire term preparing, they presented themselves as polished and highly professional candidates, leaving a strong impression during the interviews.

We are especially grateful to Assistant Nurse Manager/Perioperative Services, Trisha Rosenthal from Allegheny Health Network/Saint Vincent Hospital, who generously volunteered her time—coming in on her day off—to conduct the mock interviews. Her support provided our students with a valuable, real-world experience.

Each student came prepared, demonstrated professionalism, and truly put in the effort to impress their interviewers. They’ve done an outstanding job and are now ready to take the next step into their externships!

Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing photos of our students who participated in mock interviews. To kick things off, we’d like to recognize the incredible employers who took time out of their busy schedules to meet with our current Diagnostic Medical Sonographer seniors.

Three of our interviewers are proud Great Lakes graduates:
