We've got this ERIE!!! We're all in this together ❤!!!
With the continued interruption of SNAP, rising food costs, wage inequity, and economic instability, we must find ways we can support and uphold our communities. Erie, it is time to step up.
At Ember+Forge we believe in bottom up mutual aid. And that these small acts of community aid can build trust, better our neighborhoods, and create real change for our city.
We’ve decided to join forces with See You Next Tuesday, our local mutual aid network. Together we are creating a Free Pantry which will be located outside our doors. This completely free and community built pantry will remain standing even after the reinstatement of full SNAP benefits to help offset persevering food insecurity.
Donations are being taken now while we construct the physical pantry. The flyer above has recommended items for donation. Stay tuned for a full list of recommended donations!
We’ve seen what Erieites can accomplish to help keep their neighbors safe. Let’s continue that neighborly love and keep each other fed. Donations are being taken right now at the cafe. If you need food, take it freely. No questions asks.
Let’s do our part to keep Erie safe and secure. For all our neighbors.
