🎳 These students really struck success!

Today, students who met their Quarter 2 goals in attendance, behavior, and grades celebrated with a bowling trip to Rolling Meadows! They worked hard all quarter to earn this incentive, and it was great to see them having fun together.

Huge thank you to Holy Trinity Club for their generous donation that made this trip possible!

💡 Mindset matters.

This week in our high school program, we had the privilege of welcoming Matt Bresee from to work with our students. While Matt typically coaches business owners and executives, he made a special exception for us—and we’re so grateful he did.

Matt led a powerful mindset coaching session focused on perspective, confidence, and courage. Students explored what it really means to do the big, scary things—starting a business, trying out for a team, applying for their first job, or simply believing in themselves enough to take the first step.

These conversations help our students realize that growth doesn’t come from staying comfortable—it comes from showing up anyway.

Thank you, Matt, for taking the time to pour into our students and remind them that they are capable of more than they think. 👏

Recently some of our students had the opportunity to visit the Erie Art Museum, followed with cookies from Ye Ole Sweet Shoppe! It was a fun outing!

Our students rolled up their sleeves for owl pellet dissections and had a blast exploring what these amazing birds eat. Hands-on learning like this helps build critical thinking and a love for science! Check out some of the fascinating finds!

This morning one of our teachers shared a slideshow of veterans in CCDS families so we could recognize their service. It highlighted the many heroes connected to our school community, including one student who shared her great-grandfather’s dog tags.

We’re so thankful for all who have served and continue to serve our country.
