Preach!!!
This post was inspired by a comment from a parent. Someone told them their brain "didn't make enough dopamine."
They were told they needed to play video games alongside their kids to fix the problem...
The problem? That isn't how brains work.
Our brains produce dopamine in relation to 3 things.
1.) The clarity of our goals. Dopamine is related to forward movement towards a clear goal. When goal clarity is nonexistent, compulsion towards pleasure or distraction becomes the destination for dopamine distribution.
2.) The amount of exercise we get on a regular basis. Exercise not only increases dopamine levels, it increases the number of dopamine receptors in our brain. It's how we build the architecture for increased motivation🧠💪
3.) Dopamine sensitivity is reduced through nonstop digital stimulation. From things like video games...
The cheat code for focus works the same way.
Norepinephrine is released in relation to how much we move our bodies.
Exercise is the foundation for laser focus.
Mood?
Serotonin regulates emotional stability, calmness, and resilience. Exercise boosts serotonin by increasing tryptophan transport into the brain, activating serotonin neurons, enhancing BDNF, and lowering stress hormones.
Exercise is the foundation for brain health. Brain health is the foundation for psychological strength, adaptability, and resilience.
This September millions of kids are marching back into the classroom to sit still and learn about everything other than themselves.
It's time to tip the chairs, flip the script, and teach the next generation about their physiology, first🧠🔥
🌎 We're looking for 5 more leaders to teach the next generation about their physiology first this Fall! Level One Certification begins September 13th. 5 spots left. DM to RSVP!
