In this season of gratitude, some moments at work stop us in our tracks.

Today we received a beautiful, deeply heartfelt letter from a patient about their surgical journey. I’m sharing it anonymously with their permission, not for recognition, but as a reminder of what a true honor and privilege it is to do what we do.

Behind every procedure is a real person with hopes, fears, and a vision for how they want to move through the world. Being trusted to play even a small role in that transformation is something we never take for granted.
