When someone you love has an intellectual or developmental disability, the hardest part isn’t knowing what they need; it’s figuring out how to access the right services in Pennsylvania.

Waivers. Eligibility. Supports coordination. It’s a lot.

That’s why A Bridge to Independence exists, to guide families through the system, coordinate services, and help people with IDD live safely and meaningfully in their communities.

Navigating Pennsylvania’s waiver system can feel overwhelming for individuals with disabilities and the families who support them. Between eligibility requirements, multiple waiver programs, and long lists of services, it’s not always clear where to start or what comes next.

At A Bridge to Independence, our role is simple but essential: We bridge the gap between waiver funding and real-world support. In our latest blog, we break down:
✔️ How Supports Coordination works
✔️ The difference between waivers like OBRA, CHC, Autism, and IDD waivers
✔️ How the right guidance helps individuals live safely and independently in their communities

If you or someone you support could benefit from waiver services, this is a great place to start. 👉 Read the full blog here: https://www.abridgetoindependence.org/pennsylvania-waiver-programs-supports-coordination/
