Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) – As a clinician I help people with mental and emotional health to improve their overall wellbeing. Being a licensed therapist in Colorado required formal post secondary education, trainings, supervision and a plethora of experience hours to demonstrate competence in working alongside clients. These checkpoints are to not only see the therapist grow but more importantly to keep clients’ welfare the priority. There is a rigorous process to become a therapist.
I believe people are complex beings and that sometimes we all need a little help. Counseling is a unique opportunity to sit with somebody, in a space with undivided attention and focused on helping you not just survive but thrive. In our time together, we explore who you are – along with who you are becoming! We talk about the lows and highs you are walking through. Hopes, dreams and things if you will. The misconceptions about therapy are far too many for this post however some include that therapy only looks at the past, blames caregivers and is not action oriented but rather passive listening. These are far from the reality of being engaged in therapy. If you have not tried therapy, have questions or are just starting the process – let’s connect to see if we could be a fit! I would love to hear from you 🤍Erica
