James Allen Shelton, age 55, of Erwin, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the home of his mother.
Survivors include his children: Jamie Samantha Shelton, Buddy Shelton, Jamie Lynn Shelton, and Jessa Shelton; 8 grandchildren; his mother, Linda Franklin; sisters: Shelby Middleton (Dwayne), Mary Ruth, and Theresa Higgins; a brother, Keny Shelton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Shelton; grandparents: Jack and Sylvia Shelton, and JP and Ruth Shelton; his father, Kenneth Shelton; and a brother, Larry Franklin.
Services for Mr. Shelton will be held in the Mausoleum Chapel of Evergreen Cemetery on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11AM. Those attending services should meet at Evergreen Cemetery by 10:45AM
Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

As we approach the first anniversary of the day that forever changed our community—not only Erwin and Unicoi County, but all of Northeast Tennessee and Western North Carolina—Evergreen Cemetery and Cremation Gardens and Evergreen Pet Cemetery are proud to join with the Unicoi County Long Term Recovery Group as we remember those who were lost, honor those who lost so much, and give thanks to God for His grace and protection on that day, and for His blessings and provision over the last year as we continue to recover and rebuild.
Together we are better, together we are Unicoi County strong.
