Deep tissue massage does not inherently mean deep pressure; deep tissue refers to the techniques used to access and manipulate deeper layers of muscle and fascia, while deep pressure is simply the force applied by the therapist. A deep tissue massage might involve deep pressure, but it can also utilize slow, gentle techniques that affect deeper tissues without feeling intensely forceful.
🎯Deep Tissue Massage🎯
Focus: Targets deeper layers of muscle and fascia to release chronic muscle tension, break up scar tissue, and improve mobility.
Technique: Involves slow, deliberate strokes and other modalities like myofascial release and trigger point therapy.
Pressure: Can range from gentle to deep, depending on the specific techniques used to achieve results in the deeper tissues.
Goal: To realign muscle fibers and restore the body’s efficiency.

Deep Pressure Massage💪🏼
Focus: Applying more physical force to the superficial layers of muscle.
Technique: More about the intensity and force exerted by the therapist’s hands.
Goal: To loosen tight muscles and increase blood flow, which can assist in relaxation.
Key Difference
Depth vs. Force: Deep tissue is about where you work in the body (deeper layers), while deep pressure is about how hard you are pushing.
Client Experience: Deep tissue massage shouldn’t be unbearable, and communication with your therapist is vital to ensure the pressure level is effective and comfortable for you.
