It's Fundraising Friday! Help us connect the dots between new moms, providers, and resources! 🔵

Can you give $15 to a Climb near you in honor of the 1 in 5 moms who are impacted by a perinatal mental health disorder? Every donation to the Climb helps PSI continue to provide free resources (like the HelpLine, support groups, support coordinators, and peer mentors, and more) to every pregnant, postpartum, and post-loss person who needs them 💙

➡️ Find a Climb near you to support at https://loom.ly/fgB4hF0

Is it the baby blues, PPD, or PPA? 💭

Maternal mental health doesn’t look just one way, and symptoms can show up anytime during pregnancy or postpartum.

What you’re feeling might be:
• Baby Blues
• Depression
• Anxiety
✳️ Perinatal Mental Health Disorders also include OCD, bipolar mood disorders, PTSD, and psychosis. ✳️

The Baby Blues are short-term dips in mood caused by the changes of having a baby, and typically dissipate on their own. Depression and anxiety are common, temporary, and treatable, but they do require support.

Too often, parents experience symptoms like: irritability, racing thoughts, guilt, sadness, intrusive thoughts, or constant worry… and don’t realize there’s a name for it.

When we connect the dots, we make maternal mental health visible.
And when it’s visible, it becomes treatable, supportable, and understood.

💙 If you see yourself in this, you are not alone
💙 If you recognize this in someone else, check in

Motherhood is exhausting.
Beautiful.
Loud.
Tender.
Overwhelming.
Sacred.

Somehow it can break you open and heal parts of you at the same time.

And despite the sleepless nights, the overstimulation, the endless messes, and the emotional rollercoaster…

there really ain’t no hood like motherhood. 🤍
