What a fun and memorable night at Vista Del Lago! 🚗✨

Our Route 66 Family Road Trip to Disney-themed dinner was a huge hit with residents, families, and team members alike! The room was filled with laughter, vibrant décor, and amazing energy as everyone came together to enjoy a special evening.

Guests were treated to a delicious meal featuring lemon chicken with broccoli, scalloped potatoes, and sweet churro desserts—bringing a little taste of Disney magic to our community. 🍽️

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the night so special. We love creating experiences that bring our residents and their families together!

Our gardening program is officially underway, and our planter boxes are already coming to life! 🌱🌼

With the help of one of our residents—a former gardener—we’ve planted a beautiful variety of herbs including oregano, thyme, cilantro, green onions, rosemary, and basil, along with strawberries and tomatoes. We didn’t forget our second planter box, which is now filled with a colorful assortment of flowers!

This project brings our residents together to enjoy fresh air, hands-on activity, and the joy of nurturing something from start to finish. There’s nothing better than watching our garden grow—and the smiles that grow with it. 💛

Our St. Patrick’s Day luncheon was a wonderful success! 🍀

The luck of the Irish was definitely with us as Glen filled the room with lively Irish tunes, our kitchen served up a delicious corned beef and cabbage feast, and the dining room was beautifully decorated in festive green and gold.

Laughter, music, and great company made it a truly memorable celebration for everyone. A great time was had by all! 💚

A Wildly Wonderful Visit at Vista Del Lago! 🦉🦎

Vista Del Lago residents were recently treated to a special and exciting visit from Andrea of Critters Encounter, who brought along two fascinating exotic animals—a majestic barn owl and an intriguing bearded dragon.

Residents enjoyed learning about the barn owl’s incredible silent flight, keen hearing, and the important role it plays in the ecosystem. The bearded dragon also captured everyone’s attention as Andrea shared fun facts about its natural habitat, diet, and unique adaptations.

The interactive presentation gave residents the chance to see these amazing creatures up close, ask questions, and take part in a lively discussion. Experiences like this bring learning, curiosity, and a sense of adventure right into our community.

Late Post — but too sweet not to share! 💕

We recently had a wonderful Valentine’s celebration at Vista Del Lago, where we invited residents’ friends and family to join us for a special Valentine’s meal filled with love, laughter, and great company.

To make the day even sweeter, our talented culinary team hosted a fun cooking demonstration with our residents, showing everyone how to make delicious chocolate-covered strawberries. Of course, the best part was sampling the treats together!

Moments like these remind us how special it is to celebrate holidays surrounded by community, family, and a little chocolate. ❤️🍓

This month, our residents had a blast playing Balloon Volleyball—using pool noodles! 🎈

This lively, low-impact activity brought together movement, laughter, and social connection. With lightweight balloons and soft pool noodles, residents gently tapped the balloon back and forth, either seated or standing. The game was simple to follow, safe for all ability levels, and easily adaptable for wheelchairs and mobility needs.

Best of all, it didn’t feel like exercise—just pure fun! Activities like this help keep our residents active, engaged, and smiling while supporting their overall well-being.

Vista Del Lago residents recently enjoyed a heartwarming visit from Love on a Leash! Certified therapy pets and their dedicated handlers spent time throughout our community sharing comfort, companionship, and plenty of smiles.

These gentle interactions brought laughter, relaxation, and meaningful connection, reminding us all of the incredible bond between people and animals. It was truly a paws-itive experience for everyone involved!
