Happy Valentine’s Day! One way you can show love to Midwives in New York is by helping us pass the Certified Professional Midwifery Bill this legislative session!

Currently our bill is stuck in the Higher Education Committee in both the NYS Senate and Assembly, we need your help to move the bill to the calendar floor for a vote!

Will you please take a few minutes out of your day to call or email the following people and urge them to put the Certified Professional Midwifery Bill (A4819a/S310a) on the Higher Ed Committee Agenda! If you don’t have time to contact all four, even one contact is helpful! The more community members they hear from, the higher priority the bill will be.

Lots of great ways to speak out here

Your breath can be a refuge through your labor -

Many childbirth classes teach breathing for pain relief during labor. But is there evidence that this is effective? Which breathing techniques work best?

REGISTRATION FOR OUR FEB. 22 SERIES OF PREGNANCY CIRCLE IS NOW OPEN!

If you haven't heard of Pregnancy Circle, it's an online 6 week series for first time pregnant people to help you create community while learning tons about all things pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

We recommend starting Pregnancy Circle in your second or early third trimester so there is lots of time to learn and bond.

Pregnancy Circle takes place online from 5:30-6:30 pm each Tuesday for 6 weeks.

Here's a quote from a recent participant: “Joining the Pregnancy Circle is one of the best decisions I made so far during my pregnancy. Being a first time mama, especially during the time of COVID, I need all the support I can get. I'm learning a lot while making connections and having a good laugh. No pregnancy or birth topic is too awkward or embarrassing for this supportive group.”

There are just 10 spots and it typically fills, so please reach out if you have any questions! Register here: https://growfamilyvt.punchpass.com/series/19993

Tonight the Vermont Donor Milk Center was called to dispense some pasteurized donor human milk to a baby with an urgent need.
When leaving the Milk Center, there was a pause.
