A very special day was had at Essex Meadows as we came together to honor our Veterans of all ages.

We celebrated with a delicious breakfast, shared many heartfelt stories, and enjoyed a captivating presentation, “Behind the Scenes of Special Operations Forces,” by Retired U.S. Navy Captain and former Navy SEAL Todd J. Seniff.

To all of our honored guests—and to every man and woman who has served our country—thank you for your service, sacrifice, and dedication.

We had beautiful, lively conversations at a round table dinner with Grains of Sand filmmaker Sarah Gross, consulting producer Christy McGill, Community Life Services Director Susan Carpenter, and some amazing residents of Essex Meadows. After viewing the film, participants had a lot to share in our writing workshop at our Spotlight Weekend at Essex Meadows. How do we remember our stories and bring them back to life today?
