My heart is so full from my week working as a support therapist at the Upledger Institute in the PTSD Intensive program for Veterans. It was such an honor to work with these incredibly brave men and women and all of the therapists. I'm here with one of my therapist friends, Bridget, in front of one of Dr. Upledger's philosophies which is "If you put your hands on someone to help facilitate their healing then love has to go with those hands." I am grateful to be a Craniosacral Therapist.

I meet people where they are.
Some of my clients eat all the “right” foods, organic, clean, carefully planned.
But they still don’t feel good.

Often, it’s not the food.
It’s the stress.
It’s the pressure to follow the rules perfectly.
It’s the rigidity that turns nourishment into a source of anxiety.

I've seen restrictive diets that look healthy on paper but leave people exhausted, frustrated, and disconnected from their bodies.

So we slow down.
We shift the focus from control to care.
We untangle the stress from the plate.

Because wellness isn’t just about what you eat.
It’s also about how you live while you’re eating it.

Just spent an amazing 5 days with my mentor, Susan Steiner in Providence, RI for Clinical Application of Advanced Craniosacral therapy class (with special guest appearance by Liz Brinson, who teaches the brain glial class). We learned so much, got pushed to "the edge of our knowledge," So wonderful to get to work with Melissa, Tina, and Susan, who are incredibly talented therapists and wonderful humans.

I’ve officially been approved as a Study Group Leader by the Upledger Institute.

This means I’ll be starting CST study groups in Connecticut to support students and practitioners in deepening their skills and connecting with others in the work.

I'm Kristen Vollaro. I'm a board-certified nutritionist and craniosacral therapist.

My path here started as a mom.
When my child was diagnosed with sensory integration disorder, there weren’t many answers.
I had to figure it out, on instinct, through research, and a lot of trial and error.

One of the biggest shifts came from changing his diet.
Going dye-free made a real difference.

It opened my eyes to how powerful nutrition can be, not just for energy or weight,
but as true medical intervention.

That experience shaped everything I do now.
I don’t chase perfection.
I support real people, with real lives, who want to feel better in their bodies.

Exciting news to share.

I’ve been accepted into the Heal It Forward Program through the Dr. John E. Upledger Foundation.

This program was created to make craniosacral therapy more accessible to clients who might not otherwise have the opportunity. Each approved client can receive up to 4 sessions, supported through this initiative.

Spots are limited to 4 people and each application must be approved by the Upledger Institute. The program is designed for those who are truly in financial need and would not otherwise be able to access this care.

For me, it’s a way to give back while honoring the heart of this work, helping people feel safe, supported, and more connected in their own bodies.
