Massage Truth #1

Healing is not linear.

Many people think that if they’re getting better, their pain should steadily improve every week.

But the body doesn’t work that way.

Real healing often looks like:
• Two steps forward
• One step back
• A flare-up after progress
• Then another step forward again

That doesn’t mean the work isn’t helping. It means your body is adjusting and releasing patterns it has held for a long time.

Massage therapy supports this process by improving circulation, calming the nervous system, and giving the body space to reset.

Progress isn’t always a straight line — but it is still progress. We are here if you need us. Call/Text 860.510.9684.

Massage Fact:

Cold weather causes muscles to tighten and circulation to slow. Regular massage helps restore blood flow and reduce the stiffness many people feel during winter months.

Your body works harder in the cold and it's so important to give it support. Call/Text 860.510.9684 to book your next massage.

After a big snowstorm, a lot of people end up sore from shoveling. Snow shoveling is surprisingly demanding — it involves lifting, twisting, and pushing in cold temperatures, which can easily strain the back, shoulders, and neck.

If you feel sore afterward, a few simple things can help.

In the first 24–48 hours, ice is usually best because it helps reduce inflammation. Apply an ice pack wrapped in a towel for 15–20 minutes at a time, a few times throughout the day.

Once the initial inflammation settles, heat can help relax tight muscles. A heating pad, warm shower, or warm bath for about 15–20 minutes can help ease stiffness.

It’s also helpful to keep gentle movement in your day — light walking and easy stretching are often better than staying completely still.

And don’t forget to hydrate. Cold weather makes it easy to forget water, but muscles recover better when your body is well hydrated.

If soreness lasts more than a few days, or if you experience numbness, tingling, or severe pain, it’s a good idea to check in with a healthcare professional.

Snow shoveling is one of the most common causes of winter muscle strain — take care of your body after the storm.

And if your muscles are still feeling the effects, sometimes a little extra care can help them recover.

Massage is not a luxury when you live with an autoimmune condition; massage is support.

For clients living with MS, fibromyalgia, or other autoimmune disorders, the body is often in a constant state of stress and inflammation. Muscles guard, your nervous system stays on high alert and fatigue builds and becomes chronic.

Therapeutic massage can help by:

• calming the nervous system
• improving circulation and lymphatic flow
• reducing muscle tension and secondary pain
• supporting better sleep
• creating a safe space for the body to soften

Massage doesn’t “cure” autoimmune disease, but it can absolutely help the body manage it more gently.

When your system is already working overtime, relief isn’t indulgent; it's maintenance, and it really does help!

If you’re living with chronic pain or autoimmune symptoms, you deserve support.

A rare 90-minute opening just became available for Monday, March 2nd at 1:15.

Longer sessions are where deeper work happens —
especially for:
• chronic neck & shoulder tension
• stress overload
• post-snow muscle fatigue
• nervous system reset

If you’ve been meaning to schedule a longer session, this is a good window.

Message me to claim it. 860.510.9684.
Stay warm!

Massage isn’t just for sore muscles.

Winter is hard on the body in quiet ways.

Snow days. Schedule changes. Stress about work. Less movement.
Your nervous system stays “on” longer than it should.

Massage therapy helps:
• Regulate the stress response
• Improve circulation during cold months
• Support immune function
• Improve sleep quality

This isn’t indulgence.
It’s maintenance.

When your body is under constant low-grade stress, regular care matters more — not less.

Shoveled snow this week?

Cold muscles + heavy lifting + twisting = sore backs tomorrow.

Massage helps improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and prevent minor strain from becoming bigger problems.

After a storm, it’s not luxury.
It’s maintenance.

I have availability tomorrow if your back or shoulders are already talking to you. Text me at 860.510.9685 to book. ❄️

Here we are. We are the originals. Maureen, Jess, & Mary. Mary and I started this business together and our friend Jess, joined us shortly after. I had never met her; I had only heard of her, and when I met her in person, I just knew I was going to have a friend for life. Jess came to work with us as an amazing massage therapist and intuitive energy worker. She is more gifted than she will admit. Her abilities to help people heal are amazing. She is a bright light with the most beautiful smile and the kindest heart. She is a part of our collective here and we are so grateful to have her. This photo was taken on Saturday, which was Jess's last day with us. She is moving with her family to another state where only fantastic things are going to happen for her. In order for that to happen, she has to leave us. Our hearts are broken, but we know that she is only a phone call/text/FaceTime away. We will absolutely miss her hugs and we will miss working with her, and she will forever be our friend. We are so grateful to have been blessed with her working with us and being in our lives. Something some of you might not know about our friend: Jess also makes the most incredibly beautiful jewelry. I've never seen anything like it, and I can tell you that if you're looking for a fantastic gift for someone you love, visit because you won't be sorry. I have bought several of her necklaces and had them custom-made and they are incredibly reasonable and each one is handcrafted by Jess and she has an incredible talent. We love you Jess; we love your family, and we will be here no matter what. We wish you Godspeed on your trip to your new destination. We will miss you and we support you, ALWAYS. Thank you for your gifts of friendship, creativity and healing. We wish you joy. 🩷🩷🩷

I was so honored to be able to serve my country in an amazing capacity doing search and rescue and law-enforcement in the Coast Guard. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Thank you to all my friends who have served, whether with me or around me or for my country. I thank you for your service.
