A Mother’s Heart

It all started after watching the flu travel through all four of my boys. During this time I had a dear friend bring me a jar of homemade Elderberry Syrup. We had been using a brand of Elderberry syrup sporadically from Whole Foods, but it wasn’t a daily habit nor did I really understand all of the benefits. We started taking the homemade Elderberry syrup right away and our entire family not only loved the taste, but felt much better. As a Registered Nurse, I wanted to make sure there was some good evidence-based research supporting the benefits of Elderberry Syrup. To my surprise, there was significant research backing the immune boosting properties of the Elderberry. This began the journey of making Elderberry Syrup for our family. Honestly, my husband and I had a lot of fun perfecting a recipe that our boys would love! This naturally blossomed into a desire to share our syrup with others!
