💙 A Busy Week for Jen!

Our Marketing Director, Jennifer Brady, has been out and about all week connecting with our community and supporting families across Southwest Florida.

From hosting a gathering for more than 100 residents at Bonita Terra, to welcoming families for tours at Gulf Coast Memory Care, to meeting with hospital case managers and visiting partners throughout Fort Myers, Jen’s week has been full of meaningful conversations and new connections.

She also spent time at Pelican Preserve for a community event and continues visiting local skilled nursing communities to stay connected with the incredible professionals who help guide families when they need support.

Jen does it all with one purpose in mind: helping families find comfort, understanding, and the right support when memory changes begin to affect someone they love.

It’s no surprise that so many of the kind reviews we’ve received lately mention Jen and the compassion she brings to every interaction. We’re so grateful for everything she does for our residents, families, and community!💙

Our team had the opportunity to attend Elephant Fest in Naples this week, an event dedicated to raising awareness and support for the Alzheimer's Support Network. It was an inspiring day filled with connection, learning, and community.

We were especially excited to hear from dementia care educator Teepa Snow, whose work has helped caregivers around the world better understand and support those living with memory changes.

At Gulf Coast Memory Care, we believe continuing education and community collaboration are essential to providing the most compassionate and thoughtful care possible.

Resident of the Month: Catherine G.

This month, we are proud to celebrate Catherine!!

Born in the Bronx, Catherine dedicated her career to education, first as an English teacher in New York City and later as a high school guidance counselor. After earning her second master’s degree, she built a life centered around learning, service, and family.

Catherine and her husband Bob shared 51 beautiful years together and spent many winters on Fort Myers Beach, enjoying sunsets and long walks along the shore. She loves music, baking, and staying active in her community.

A devoted mother of two and proud grandmother of four, Catherine brings warmth, kindness, and quiet strength to everyone around her.

We are honored to celebrate her this month and grateful for the light she brings to our community. 💙

Back in October, our Walk for Wigs brought our community together in a powerful way. What we’re seeing now is something even more meaningful — the continued impact of that day.

Recently, Jennifer had the opportunity to reconnect with individuals who were helped through the gift cards raised during the walk… and to receive photos and stories of how those small acts of kindness made a very real difference.

A wig may seem simple. But during a vulnerable season, it can restore confidence, dignity, and a sense of self.

We believe care extends beyond our walls. When we come together as a community, the effects don’t end when the event does.

Our Senior Prom was filled with music, laughter, dancing, and so many beautiful smiles. Moments like these remind us that joy doesn’t disappear with memory changes, it just needs the right environment to shine.

At Gulf Coast Memory Care, we believe when residents feel safe, supported, and truly known, celebration comes naturally. Seeing our residents light up on the dance floor was a gift to all of us. 💙
