Week 6 of of the American House challenge was tea-riffic!! With the theme of "Tranquili-Tea," residents and team members surly felt a sense of relaxation and tranquility as they sipped on all kinds of teas, from green to hibiscus and that good old fashioned sweet tea 🥰 Stay tuned for next week's "Back to School" theme! Thanks to AARP and Life Enrichment Director, Erika, Atlanta Braves superfan and American House Bristol resident Faye, experienced a Wish of a Lifetime! Not only had this lifelong fan never been to a game, Faye's first Braves game was a historic one—it was the first time a Major League baseball game was played in Tennessee, the state that Faye calls home ⚾

In honor of National Lemonade Day, residents loved the "Lemonade Lounge" theme 🍋 As you can imagine, from raspberry to blackberry and everything in between, there were many unique spins on the fan-favorite! Well, maybe not THAT Turner, but very special nonetheless 🥰 Not only does Mrs Turner have a remarkable memory when it comes to dates and names, she has - wait for it - 78 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren! And, yes, she knows all of their names 😉

Our residents had a delightful outing to Coconut Jack’s Waterfront Grille in Bonita Springs! This award-winning restaurant, just steps from Bonita Beach, offers fresh local seafood and tropical cocktails in a relaxed, open-air setting. Many guests rave about the coconut shrimp and the scenic views over the Back Bay.

The staff was welcoming, and the atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely lunch by the water. Whether you're a seafood lover or just looking for a beautiful spot to dine, Coconut Jack’s is a local favorite.

Our residents got a flavorful education this month as our chef walked them through the art of fermenting and pickling! From step-by-step techniques to a live demonstration, everyone got a behind-the-scenes look at how these age-old methods preserve and enhance flavor.

The best part? Sampling the results! Fermented ginger was the star of the show—zesty, tangy, and packed with health benefits.

Our residents had a blast playing Co****le today! Did you know that competitive co****le is actually a professional sport in some places? The American Co****le League (ACL) even has national championships, and the sport’s grown rapidly over the years.

We took a trip to the Sanibel Shell Museum, and it was a great way to spend the day! The museum is known for its impressive collection of seashells from around the world, featuring over 30,000 specimens! It’s the perfect spot to learn about marine life and the fascinating world of shells. Our residents had a fantastic time exploring and soaking in the beauty of it all.
