we waited months for this appointment…
finally got his braces off…

and I’m not kidding—
his perfect smile lasted about 30 minutes 🫣

one tooth fell out…
then another an hour later

like WHY does this always happen right after the big moment 😂

midlife motherhood is wild

as a midlife mama in Estes Park, Colorado…
this is exactly the kind of chaos I somehow always end up in 😅

we were literally just sitting at lunch at Bird & Jim…
next thing I know my kids are out in a field chasing Bigfoot during Bigfoot Days

then Bigfoot turns around and starts chasing THEM

my youngest loses his croc mid-sprint…
has to turn around and go get it…

and my niece is on the patio screaming
“MO, DON’T GET EATEN” 💀

and I’m just sitting there thinking…
how is this my life 😂

but honestly…
this is the most present I’ve ever felt

midlife used to feel heavy for me
and now it feels like this…
random, chaotic, a little unhinged, and actually really good

Estes Park just does something to me

if you’ve ever been to Estes Park or Rocky Mountain National Park… you get it

would you run… or would you stay back and watch like I did 😅

Every morning we drive into Rocky Mountain National Park at sunrise. I pack the bag. He uses everything in it.
Hand lotion ✓ Eye drops ✓ SPF powder ✓ LMNT ✓
Every. Single. Time.
The Jane Iredale moment broke me 😂
If your husband does this too, tag him. He needs to be seen.

this one was hard to watch…
this cow elk tried to clear a fence in Estes Park, clipped it, flipped onto her neck — and I held my breath.
then she paused. gathered herself. leaned into her herd. and walked forward.

I think about that a lot as a midlife woman. we fall. we pause. we get back up. usually with someone beside us.
that’s the whole thing really.

midlife is wild…

I’ve never been more comfortable in my own skin…

but apparently my son is too 😅

listen… I’ve finally learned what I can change
and what I need to just accept

but that doesn’t mean I needed a full demonstration in the front seat of my car 💀

the difference now?

it doesn’t spiral me anymore
it just makes me laugh (after I kick him out of the car obviously)

this is midlife…
a little softer, a lot freer, and way less serious 🤍

anyone else raising tiny humans with zero boundaries? 😅👇

as a midlife mama who avoids crowds at all costs…

somehow I end up here every single year 😅

and every time I’m like—
why does this keep happening???

but also…
there’s just something about it.

the chaos
the energy
the fact that it’s completely ridiculous

and somehow… so fun

they’ve been doing this since 1987
and it just keeps getting bigger

(and yes—it’s all for charity through the Rotary Club of Estes Park 🙌)

I truly cannot remember the last time I pumped gas…
because in our house, that’s his job 😂

So now he’s out of town…
and I’m out here at 6am like this is a survival situation

Midlife is wild.
We can run businesses, raise kids, manage everything…
but take away ONE system in the house and we’re like… wait 😅

Tell me I’m not the only one…
what’s something your spouse always does that you wouldn’t even think about??

Midlife is a little chaotic… but we’re figuring it out together.
