Just a reminder that the Estes Park Health Urgent Care Center will be open throughout the Labor Day Weekend and on Labor, Monday, September 1 for any urgent needs. The Urgent Care Center is also available to assist you with x-rays, splinting, casting, common illnesses, mild allergic reactions and altitude sickness. No appointment is needed.

The Urgent Care Center is located at 420 Steamer Drive and is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Please note that, due to a schedule conflict, this month's Park Hospital District regular board meeting has been changed to Thursday, August 28 at 5:30 p.m. Due to room availability, this month's meeting will be online only. The regular board meetings in September and October will also be held on the last Thursday of each month, September 25 and October 30, respectively.

Yesterday, members of the Estes Park Health staff, leadership and provider team held a public meeting with the Park Hospital District Board of Directors. More than 80 people participated in the meeting that gave the speakers an opportunity to share their emotional, heartfelt and honest insights into the upcoming affiliation with UCHealth. Thank you, Estes Park community, for a fantastic summer. We had fun raising money at the 50th Anniversary Boots to Boutonnieres, raising more money at the Crowns for the Care during the Rooftop Rodeo and kicking up our heals at the three summer concerts at the Lake Estes Marina.

Summer goes too fast, but fall is spectacular here too. Thank you, again, for supporting Estes Park Health and the Estes Park Health Foundation initiatives.

Special Public Hospital Board Meeting: Thursday, August 21, 2025, 8 a.m.

Estes Park Health staff have requested a public meeting with Park Hospital District Board of Directors.

Leadership, staff and physicians will meet with the board this Thursday, August 21 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. to share their support for the upcoming hospital affiliation. This is an open meeting and the public is welcome to attend via online viewing to hear the comments from the employees, physicians and leadership team members.

Those requesting the meeting have also asked to have an opportunity to share their concerns about the anxiety that has recently been created because of commentary by board members and local media regarding a delay in finalizing the partnership.

In addition to the feedback provided by EPH staff and providers, David Snow, attorney at EPH's legal firm Hall Render, will be at the meeting to give a summary of the decision-making process that led to this affiliation agreement.

This timeline of information will span from 2022 when discussions started about creating a ballot initiative to seek approval to identify a non-profit health care partner for Estes Park Health to the current status of the process as of August 2025.
