That was the scenario when Bella came to the emergency department at Estes Park Health on a recent Wednesday evening. Her wedding to Jack was scheduled less than 48 hours later. The Estes Park Health main lobby and physician clinic, located at 555 Prospect Avenue, will have the following holiday hours.
- Thanksgiving Day: closed
- Day after Thanksgiving: closed
- Christmas Eve: open 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Christmas Day: closed
- New Year’s Eve: open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- New Year’s Day: closed

The Estes Park Health Urgent Care Center, located at 420 Steamer Drive, has the following modified hours.
- Thanksgiving Day: closed
- Day after Thanksgiving: open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Christmas Eve: open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Christmas Day: closed
- New Year’s Eve: open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- New Year’s Day: open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Larimer County Board of Commissioners approved earlier today the amended Park Hospital District service plan. With this approval, the planned partnership between UCHealth and Estes Park Health can proceed with an effective date of Dec. 1.

The next regular meeting of the Park Hospital District Board of Directors will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 5:30 p.m. Please note the earlier date due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The meeting will be online and in-person at the Estes Park Town Hall.

Winter is coming (a little snow this morning on the peaks reminds us of this fact) and that means flu season has arrived. To help residents of Estes Valley prepare for the season of respiratory illnesses like flu and COVID, two additional vaccine clinics have been added in November.
- Tuesday, Nov. 4
- Tuesday, Nov. 11
Both clinics run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Vaccine clinic appointments are available every five minutes during the clinic hours. Appointments are for one person only; spouses and families should make sequential appointments if they come to the clinic together. When scheduling the appointment, please let the scheduler know if you plan to get the flu, COVID or both vaccines. No other vaccines will be offered at these clinics.

To schedule a flu vaccine appointment or if you have questions, call Clinic Registration at 970-586-2200. To schedule other vaccines, please schedule a nurse visit or contact your primary care physician’s office for an appointment.

The Estes Valley Recreation and Park District Wellness Fair is coming up Nov. 8 and EPH is excited to be a participant. In addition to lots of information about the hospital services and care from staff members at the booth, several of our providers will be giving free presentations during the breakout sessions. Dr. Jennifer McLellan will speak about the importance of colon cancer screening and Dr. Hannah Fields will talk about healthy Mediterranean diet and lifestyle factors in relation to chronic conditions plus other helpful topics.
