If you tried yoga once and didn’t come back, this is for you.

Did you feel lost in the cues, out of place, or like it just wasn’t what you expected?

One class isn’t yoga. It’s just one door.

And if it didn’t feel right, it doesn’t mean yoga isn’t for you, it just wasn’t the right fit.

Yoga meets you where you are but it takes more than one try to find the right door.

If you left too soon, this is your sign to come back.

Drop a 🙋 if this is you.

You’re not burnt out because you’re weak.

You’re burnt out because you never stop.

We’re taught to push through, power past, and earn our rest but that kind of “strength” comes at a cost, your body, your energy, your nervous system.

That’s not weakness, that’s overload. Yoga isn’t the opposite of strength. It’s what makes it sustainable.

Rest isn’t a reward. It’s a requirement.

Your mat asks nothing from you.

Everything else does.

Work. Messages. Responsibilities.

Even workouts can feel like pressure.

But your mat?

You don’t need to be strong, flexible, or “together.”

You just show up.

And somehow…

That’s enough.

I teach core-focused yoga for one reason.

Because I watched it change people from the inside out.

Not just their bodies.
Their whole energy.

I've watched people walk into class guarded.

Arms crossed. Eyes uncertain. Already halfway out the door in their minds.
"I'm not flexible enough."
"I can't keep up."
"I'm probably going to be the worst one here."

And then something happens around the 20-minute mark.

The resistance melts.
The breath kicks in.
The body starts doing things they didn't think it could do.

And they look different on the way out.

Shoulders back.

Head up.

Something quiet in their eyes that wasn't there before.

That's not me.
That's what the practice does when you just show up for it.

You don't need to be strong to start.
You don't need to be flexible.
You don't need to have it together.
You just need to unroll your mat and take the first breath.

Everything else follows.

Strong doesn't always look like lifting heavy.

Sometimes it looks like holding still.

Let me explain.

Anyone can move fast.

Fast hides weakness.

But the moment you slow down, hold a plank without shaking,
stay in chair pose past the point of comfort,
breathe calmly while your body is working hard...

THAT'S when your real strength shows up.

Here's what core-focused yoga actually trains:

Stability — the ability to hold your body in place under pressure
Endurance — staying in the discomfort instead of running from it
Breath control — keeping your nervous system calm while your muscles work
Mind-body connection — knowing the difference between pain and challenge

This is why our OMG My Core class hits different.

It's not about how heavy you can lift.

It's about how long you can hold.

How controlled you can move.

How present you can stay.

Strength built on a mat carries into every corner of your life.

The hard conversation.
The long day.
The moment you want to quit.

You hold still there too.

Which one is harder for you, moving fast or holding still?

You've been told rest is lazy.

What if rest was actually the practice?

Our culture praises hustle.

Push harder. Move faster. Do more.

And then we wonder why we're exhausted, tight, and completely disconnected from our own bodies.

Here's what nobody tells you:

Your nervous system doesn't heal in the grind.
It heals in the slow.

The long hold.
The deep breath.
The moment you stop fighting your body and finally listen to it.

That's not weakness.
That's one of the hardest things you can do.

We have a class called Slow Down and Stretch It Out for exactly this reason.

It's not "easy yoga."
It's intentional yoga.

And there's a massive difference.

Because showing up for rest when everything in your life is telling you to keep pushing is its own kind of strength.

Tired? There's yoga for that.

Overwhelmed? There's yoga for that.

Running on empty and needing a reset?

That's what we're here for.

Every Friday, 8:30am, come let your body exhale.

Here's exactly what makes a yoga retreat different from just "taking a vacation."

Because I get this question a lot.

And it's a fair one.

A vacation is external.
New scenery. New food. New experiences.
You come back rested but still fundamentally you. Same patterns, same stress waiting at the door.

A retreat is internal.
It uses the external, the stillness, the nature, the community, the practice, to shift something on the inside.

Here's the actual difference:

A vacation distracts you from yourself.
A retreat brings you back to yourself.
A vacation you recover from.
A retreat you recover with.
A vacation fills your camera roll.
A retreat fills something that's been empty a lot longer than you've admitted.

And yoga specifically as the container for a retreat?
It's intentional.

This is what we've built.

Small, intimate, limited spots on purpose, so everyone gets personal attention and genuine connection.

Early bird pricing is coming very soon.

The reason your back hurts has nothing to do with your age.

It has everything to do with your core.

When your core is weak, your back takes over.

It compensates. It overworks. It holds tension it was never meant to hold.

And over time?
It starts talking back.

We've been taught to blame our bodies.

"I'm just getting older."
"This is just how I am."
"I've always had a bad back."

But here's what I see in class, every single week:

People come in guarding their back.
People leave standing taller.

Not because of magic.

Because of intention.

Core-focused yoga doesn't mean crunches.

It means training the deep stabilizing muscles that actually hold your spine in place.

The ones that most workouts completely miss.

Your back isn't failing you.
It's asking you for support.

That's exactly what we do in every class at I Heart Yoga WY.

We build the foundation your whole body has been waiting for.

Drop a 🙋 below if your back has been trying to tell you something.

If you could try one class this week…

Which one are you picking?

Something energizing?
Something relaxing?
Something that challenges your strength?

Because each class feels different and your body might need something different than you think.

So tell me…

What are you most curious to try right now?

What’s your biggest excuse?

Let’s be real for a second.

What’s the thing that’s been holding you back from starting?

“I don’t have time”
“I’m too stiff”
“I’m too tired”
“I’ll start next week”

We’ve heard all of them.

And honestly?

They’re all valid.

But we’ve also seen people with those same thoughts
walk in anyway and realize it wasn’t as hard as they made it in their head.

So I’m curious...

What’s your biggest excuse right now? Drop it in the comments 👇
