🚨 Blood Emergency Appeal 🚨
Today, Our Blood Institute has launched a Blood Emergency Appeal due to critically low blood inventory levels across Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas.
At this time last year, there were approximately 5,200 units of blood available. Today, that number has dropped to around 2,200 units. To help support local patient needs, more than 300 units of O blood were recently brought in from the East Coast.
Donations of all blood types are needed, with a critical focus on O blood. O-negative and O-positive blood are essential for emergency response, trauma care, surgeries, and ongoing treatments.
If you are eligible to donate, please consider giving. If you cannot donate, sharing this message helps more than you know. The number one reason people do not donate is simply because they are not asked.
