I believe in therapy
With the right therapist, deeper insights, understanding, self-love and acceptance can be learned.
A lot can be said with meeting therapists that do not feel like a fit. This can also provide insights and clarity to bring you closer to what you feel you are needing and not needing.
I have had and continue to have experiences with therapists and doctors that may not be in alignment with my own values, beliefs, and needs. I am thankful, that each professional I meet and learn from helps me to be more mindful of being a better provider to others.
It is helpful to try different therapists as well as different therapies. Therapy and therapists are not all the same, there isn’t a one-size fits all approach to therapy.
I personally enjoy working with therapists who have a holistic perspective which includes a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual focus.
After 40+ years of therapy, I find it is imperative to acknowledge how the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual are all inter-related.
From a Polarity Therapy perspective, we have four bodies: our earthly body, astral body (thoughts and emotions), an ethereal body (spiritual) and causal (soul) body. These bodies can be seen in our electromagnetic field through certain medical scans and imaging. Each body interacts and works with each other just like our emotions work with each other, our organs work with each other, and how our thoughts and spirit work with each other.
Depending on where you live in the world, you may have access to medical providers who are aligned more with allopathic (western/chemistry or indigenous healing) medicine or (eastern/ayurvedic/alternative) medicine. I don’t believe one part of the world is more right than the other, both parts have a wealth of knowledge and understanding, but it can be a struggle trying to find practitioners who will be open to compliment each other to help someone find the information needed for healing. Healing may not always lead to a cure, and a cure is not a guarantee healing can happen. Healing happens when a person’s mind, emotions, spirit and soul are ready for it.
Healing cannot be forced or bought.
I believe there needs to be a mutual sense of respect for humanity, Earth, and medicine in yourself and in others. Adding to this is a mutual sense of dignity, hope, and care. Even if we do not agree, or share the same values and beliefs, we can at least acknowledge each other’s thoughts, feelings, needs, and healing.
I pray for a world where each of us can learn how to love ourselves unconditionally, and heal from the inside out. Learning to love every emotion you can have as a human being can feel challenging, but the emotional freedom is endless.
Each of us wake up and have just as much potential to impact the world in the same ways that they feel impacted by the world.
Instead of looking or listening to the news, social media, or anything else when waking up, tune into your soul, your spirit, your body, and your thoughts. What are they saying to you? How are you making space to hear yourself? Are the thoughts you’re having yours? Are you still listening to other’s thoughts? Are you able to listen to your own feelings? Or are you more tuned into the feelings of others around you? Are you listening to your own Spirit, or are you dependent on someone else’s Spirit to guide you? What does listening to your soul mean? Do any of these questions make sense?
Each of us are a microcosm of the world we live in or survive in. Our consciousness is simply a mirrored projection of our reality onto the world. Everyone and everything we blame our feelings on, is like a path to an insecure belief that is waiting and wanting to be healed, loved and welcomed back home.
If each person were able to love themselves unconditionally from the inside out, they would be able to love others and the world in the same way.
75% of our emotions are uncomfortable! If we can learn to love ourselves when we feel emotionally uncomfortable, which happens a lot, we can learn to love others when they feel uncomfortable as well.
My book Emotional Boundaries, Healing Your Feelings teaches others how to love yourself emotionally from the inside out.
