Happy First New Moon of the Year Cyber Family,

The Sanctuary has been in deep slumber, mirroring the medicine of Grandmother Bear, and has only just begun to re-emerge, slowly re-opening her temple doors, taking her time returning to technology. Thank you for your patience.

This time in holy hibernation has been a beautiful and painful invitation to re-evaluate what matters.

The No Wrong Way Ritual Revolution

Once Upon a Rainbow Rock Canyon, I fasted from food, and humans, for three days. Four of my east coast sisters and I pilgrimaged cross country for a rite of passage, our psyches starving for a visceral experience to honor our transformations & transition into adulthood. My mind had quite a bit to say during this time of sun kissed solitude. I had decided, I was doing it all wrong. Spirituality felt elusive and exclusive. I wasn’t serious enough, I didn’t know the just right words, or songs, and I definitely wasn’t adorned in the gorgeous sacred garb. I was convinced the other woman were having non-stop holy epiphanies, while I was singing chocolate covered lizards and stone pile pie. It was as if they knew the equation of how to connect to god, and I had somehow slept through that math class.

Could there really be a “right” way to connect to that which is greater than ourselves? No. My time on the land taught me that there is no right or wrong way to pray. The ancient priestess within me awakened to the power of playing with symbolic, the power of ritual. I reclaimed ancient wisdom within and wove weird and wild ceremony. I realized that the sacred does not to be serious - life becomes sacred when we say so. Rites of the Heart was the truth knocking on my hearts door, born as conduit for cultivating spiritual liberation & authentic ritual expression to promote emotional wellness and wholeness. This soul-centric business is committed to the reclaiming of the sacred, and the awakening of the ritual intelligence that lives in us all.
