Our commitment to protect our patients. In addition to our established COVID universal precautions, this is our new caregiver standard when we provide direct patient contact to mitigate any potential COVID risk. As always, thank you for your support.

Physical Therapy Orthopedic and Cancer Services (PTOCS) has been part of its local community since 1972.Β  We are faced with an unparalleled challenge with the COVID-19 outbreak and our clinic remains committed to serving our community.

TELEHEALTH SERVICES: PTOCS will pilot and offer telehealth services specific to our immunosuppressed Oncology population, on a case-by-case basis with the option for private pay (after signing an Advanced Beneficiary Notice [ABN for Medicare patients]/non-covered services).

Unfortunately, Medicare (CMS) confirmed through a webinar (04/09/2020 at 9:00 am PDT) and through CMS document (CMS-1744-IFC), CMS does not cover Telehealth Services if provided by a physical therapist. See link of document CMS-1744-IFC, page 35 (last paragraph), that clearly indicates that services provided by a physical therapist is not covered by Medicare.

Certain private insurance companies will cover Telehealth Services. PTOCS will confirm with your commercial private insurance on a case-by-case basis.

MODIFIED FRIDAY SCHEDULE:
For our high-risk patients, especially immunosuppressed patients, we will offer single patient – single practitioner services on Fridays – with no other patients present in the clinic. Your physical therapist will make that specific determination if you meet our criteria for one-on-one in clinic visits on Fridays.

Thank you for your resounding support as we make efforts to keep our patients safe during this COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

Physical Therapy Orthopedic and Cancer Services (PTOCS) has been part of its local community since 1972. We are faced with an unparalleled challenge with the COVID-19 outbreak and our clinic remains committed to serving our community.

After careful reflection and consideration from Governor Kate Brown’s March 23, 2020 stay-at-home orders, the position statement from the American Physical Therapy Association, Private Practice Section, and the memorandum from The US Department of Homeland Security – we affirm our belief that our clinic practitioners belong to the list of essential infrastructure workers.

We believe it is our ethical and moral obligation to keep our regular clinic hours of operation for the community we serve to play a key role in keeping physical therapy patients out of doctor offices, urgent care clinics, and emergency departments as we brace for the unprecedented burden COVID-19 will impose to the healthcare system.

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, Physical Therapy Orthopedic and Cancer Services have always utilized universal precautions infection control measures for patient safety. In addition to our established infection control guidelines, we have adopted COVID-19 specific infection control policies and procedures to ensure patient safety that includes temperature checks to all persons (employees, visitors, and patients) who enter our clinic.

We believe in β€œgiving back” to the community – we sincerely thank the selfless clinicians and support staff at PTOCS who continue to support our mission on serving our community.

Thank you for your support.

Please continue to support local businesses.

Amidst the COVID-19 situation, small businesses are struggling to keep their doors open. Small businesses are truly the life blood of any community.

Although there is movement to practice "Social Distancing" and avoiding crowded areas and events, there are ways to continue to support local businesses to keep our community and our local economy strong and healthy.

Here are a few ways to support local businesses that we hope you would consider: Order take out, buy gift cards now to be used later, home delivery services, go to the stores during off peak hours, or call grocery stores for phone pick up orders.

This will pass, and our hope is that we continue to have vibrant, strong small businesses thanks to all of you.

Thank you so much for supporting local businesses during this scary time for our community. Together we are stronger.
