Welcome to Functional Foundations Pediatric Services 💛

Founded in 2020, and growing into a nonprofit in 2025, our program was built with one goal in mind: to create a space where children with complex needs, and their families, feel supported, empowered, and connected.

We have intentionally created a space where differences are the norm, not the exception; a place where every child is seen, valued, and supported for who they are.

Today, our team of six therapists provides specialized pediatric therapy rooted in a family-centered, play based, and evidence-informed approach. We believe meaningful progress happens when therapy is integrated into real life; so we focus on building skills that carry over into everyday routines.

We currently serve approximately 200 children each year, with families traveling from across Oregon, including: Creswell, Brownsville, Albany, Portland, Roseburg, Coos Bay, Florence, and Bend - to access our collaborative, individualized care.

Looking ahead 🌱
We are actively growing our team, expanding to include occupational therapy and speech-language pathology services, with a vision to further integrate nutrition and case management support to better serve the whole child and family.

At Functional Foundations, we celebrate small steps and big victories, because every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Sometimes, our little heroes need a “boost” to reach their next big milestone. That’s where our Intensive Therapy sessions come in!

Think of it like a “skills boot camp” disguised as play. By spending concentrated time in the facility , our kids can build the muscle memory and strength needed to tackle challenges that felt out of reach just weeks before. 🧩✨

Whether it’s preparing for a new piece of equipment or working toward independent movement, our Intensives provide the dedicated focus every child deserves to thrive. ゚
