If you aren’t aware, there is a general strike happening in Eugene and Springfield today, January 30th. This is to put pressure on our city leaders and state/federal reps to get ICE out of our communities. We fully support the businesses who have made the decision to shut down and stand in solidarity for the movement.
As a small physical therapy business, we have decided to stay open today. The work we provide is an act of resistance to the status quo where healing, empowerment, and community support are imperative. This is a place to reduce pain and decrease pelvic floor issues to allow the body and mind to become resilient and free.
Despite staying open, our way of participating in the strike includes:
✅Not processing credit card statements today
✅Donating $50 for each patient we see today to the Civil Liberties Defense Center
We are absolutely amazed with how the business community in Eugene and Springfield are stepping up to take a stand, whether it’s shutting down to let our leaders know that we will not stand for what is happening or to remain open to provide community support with our special skill sets.
Stand Up, Fight Back
ICE OUT of Oregon
A resilient community is a healthy community
