I am looking to find a new office manager for my acupuncture practice and am putting the word out.
My current office manager is retiring to take care of her husband‘s health.
If you know of anyone who would be a good fit for this, please let me know. I would appreciate it if you could spread this to anyone you know who might know the right person. Below is more detail about who we are looking for.
We strive to have an acupuncture practice and workplace that is calm and healing and so are looking for a special candidate for this position.
An ideal candidate will be:
- Accepting and enthusiastic about acupuncture
- Compassionate, caring and have a positive outlook on life
- Organized, efficient and able to self-direct
- Reliable and honest
- Willing to take on new things
- Good with people and able to communicate with a variety of types of people
- Able to work with basic and industry-specific software
- Good with dogs (no allergies) and plants
- Able to lift 20 pounds

Office Manager Responsibilities include:
- Interacting with patients with compassion and kindness to prepare them for the healing of the acupuncture/Acu-Current treatments
- Scheduling patient appointments, filling cancelled appointments from waiting list
- Preparing patient files for each patient visit
- Collecting payments from patients/entering in spreadsheet
- Greeting patients, bringing patients to rooms/cleaning rooms between patients
- Answering phone, emails and texts regarding patient appointments and questions
- Paying bills
- Ordering office supplies and herbs
Insurance Billing Responsibilities (can be part of the main position or a separate position):
- Confirming coverage for patients with insurance companies
- Sending billings to insurance companies
- Tracking payments
- Contacting insurance companies for missing payments
Hours: 30-35 per week
Days: M 1-6, TThF 10-6:30
