An unknown number of Oregon Medical Group patients have been unexpectedly turned away over the last few months. Most were told their primary care provider had left. Many blame the loss of their doctor on the clinic’s out of state owners, and healthcare consolidation.

A reminder....

We know that the news about the recent detection of the Omicron variant in Oregon is concerning for many people, especially after months of doing all the right things to keep the virus at bay: getting vaccinated and boosted, properly wearing face coverings, keeping gatherings small and outdoors when possible.

With the emergence of Omicron, it may feel as if we are back at square one, but we are not. We have learned much over the past two years and know how to continue keeping ourselves, our loved ones and our communities safe. And we know getting vaccinated and getting boosted is our best protection against severe disease.

Thanks go to the people in Oregon who continue to step up for the benefit of all. We are in a much better place because of you.
