Studies indicate that acupuncture can significantly aid in pain management and recovery, bridging the gap between traditional practices and modern medical understanding. Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western medicine are not opposing forces; they represent two languages that speak the same truth in healing. By integrating these approaches, we can enhance recovery and performance in every-day-people and athletes. Let's foster a dialogue about how these methodologies can coexist for optimal health results.

Join Jennifer for a Mindfulness and Asana through the Lens of the Koshas Workshop. This workshop will be excellent, and is from 1:30-3:30p on Saturday, March 21st.

In this workshop we will go over the ancient yogic model of the Koshas which are the sheaths or layers of our being. We will begin with a lecture in a discussion format and learn about what these layers of the Koshas are. Each layer offers tools for our yoga toolkit of present moment awareness and self agency. The second half of the workshop we will have an accessible yoga (asana) practice to feel and experience the Koshas, and how they can help with compassionate curiosity, self study, awareness and mindfulness.

Jennifer Jamieson is a 47 year old single mom, nature lover, yoga therapist and yoga teacher. She started practicing yoga at 17, feeling the benefits for the body and for help with social anxiety. Jennifer completed her 200hr training with Sarahjoy March in 2006, began teaching in 2008, and went on to complete a yoga therapy training also with Sarahjoy Marsh in 2013. She also practiced with and completed Scott Anderson’s 200 and 500 hour teacher trainings. Jennifer teaches public classes, workshops, retreats, and offers private sessions. Her goal in teaching yoga is to support everyone’s belonging, and a felt sense of their incredible worth! Her specialties are accessible and adaptive yoga, teaching mindfulness, and creating a welcome space for all who want to join.
