Greetings Friends,
There is no easy way to say this...
After 16 amazing years Ashtanga Yoga Eugene/Eugene School of Yoga will officially go out of business and close it's doors on August 27.
The pandemic, economic uncertainty, soaring overhead and plummeting attendance have taken their toll and it is not feasible for me to hold the space any longer.
What's next...?
I don't know.
But, as I am fond of saying, "there is infinite potentiality in 'I don't know.'"
When we think we know how something is, or works, or "should be" our view is very limited to the opportunities within that narrow field of focus. There is no space for anything new or unexpected. No room for growth or change or taking chances.
But when we Truly Surrender... Ahhh! When we really let go of our illusions of control and face our deepest fears, then a previously unseen spaciousness presents itself. And this spaciousness, like any vacuum, demands to be filled.
As soon as we truly surrender to not-knowing... When we step into our fear of uncertainty... When we shout, or whisper, our most heartfelt "I Don't Know" to the Universe... then an unlimited panorama of potentiality floods in to fill that void.
This decision has been one of the biggest surrenders of my life. And New Opportunities are already presenting themselves.
I do know I want to keep realizing my gifts and sharing them as much as possible.
I just don't know what that looks like yet.
I am currently seeking out opportunities to continue teaching in the Eugene/Springfield area.
In the meantime, I am holding classes for the next two weeks. Please come and share community in our beautiful space one (or more!) last time.
The last class will be 9:00 a.m. on August 27.
Let's pack the place!!!
Also, we will have a Celebration of Life party to end our 16 years with a bang! Details will be coming soon, but it will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27 and go on well into the evening.
There is so much to say, share, appreciate and remember, but for now...
Know that I Love You All and Truly Cherish our Connection.
You have all allowed me to live one of my greatest dreams for the last 16 years.
