You will explore a mobile application designed to teach parenting skills and share your insights about how to make it more useful and effective.

"Microsoft launched the Inclusive Design Toolkit in 2015, a set of guidelines for building products that help people of all abilities realize their full potential. The toolkit is based on three principles:

1. Recognize exclusion
2. Learn from diversity
3. Solve for one, extend to many"

"This addition is a first step in addressing cognitive exclusion, which occurs when products don’t account for the different ways people perceive and understand the world around us."

This short article walks through the basics of design thinking (with helpful images). It defines each of these five steps:

1. Empathize - understand user needs
2. Define - develop a clear problem statement
3. Ideate - get creative with brainstorms, sketches, etc.
