If you’ve been trying to conceive but haven’t figured out why it isn’t happening yet, procedures like sonohysterograms and hysteroscopies may help.

A sonohysterogram is a simple in-office procedure that uses a gentle saline solution and ultrasound to give your provider a clearer view of your uterus, helping identify polyps, fibroids, or scar tissue that might be getting in the way. A hysteroscopy offers both diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities, allowing your provider to directly visualize the uterus and even remove certain obstacles during the same procedure.

Welcome to The Fertility Center of Oregon. Our team of experts are here to help you through the course of consultation, diagnostic evaluation and treatment. Whether your circumstances are straightforward or complicated, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs. OUR PRACTICE The Fertility Center of Oregon was born in 2002 when Dr. Douglas Austin opened facilities in Eugene for in vitro fertilization. Prior to the construction of the IVF lab, Dr. Austin partnered with Dr. Paul Kaplan who started the practice as The Fertility Center at Women’s Care in 1976. AAAASF Accredited Facility Dr. Kaplan retired in 2005. In 2015 the center earned AAAASF accreditation for the commitment to promoting the highest quality of patient safety. Dr. Austin and his team continue to offer reproductive endocrinology and infertility, as well as hormone management, well-woman and LBGTQ services.
