Some of the Slocum Orthopedics team recently returned from an 8-day medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic with Restore Together Foundation for Care.

This marked Slocum’s fourth trip to the Dominican Republic, and included participation alongside 65 volunteer healthcare professionals from across the U.S. During the trip, the volunteer team provided care to 188 patients. In total, 81 surgeries were performed, including 11 total knee replacement procedures.

Thank you to the surgeons, therapists, nurses, APPs, support staff, and partner organizations who contributed their time and expertise to this effort!
