You may have heard someone say that you can’t snuggle cats during pregnancy, but this is a common misconception! In reality, there’s no need to get rid of pets during pregnancy. Rather, you need to be careful around changing cat litter and encountering pet f***s, which are a potential source of toxoplasmosis, a disease that can negatively affect the development of an unborn child. If you are a cat owner, consider avoiding changing cat litter if possible while pregnant or wearing gloves and thoroughly washing your hands afterwards.
