Plans for the Meraki Fair are coalescing slowly but I am moving forward. Every show I do as a vendor teaches me something new. Meraki is both a spirit fair and an art fair, so we are balanced between artists of all stripes, readers of various oracles (there will likely be no more than 3 tarot readers, for example). I strive to make the spaces affordable; I want my vendors to make money! But I will need volunteers to make it happen. The plan currently includes up to 75 vendors, live music, two enclosed classrooms for quiet presentations. I am hoping to get a food truck or two as well. I would love to have someone lead the opening and closing ceremonies with drums and calling the four directions. I would also like a volunteer to help me recruit and process the ads in the program. There is a kitchen and I plan to provide coffee, tea, for free and snacks for a reasonable price (no $5 bags of chips, for example).
