Save us seeds! Zaniyan Center is a nonprofit that offers free seeds and starts to tribal communities as well as others in need. We need seeds that are individually packaged with name and year. Either seeds you bought that no longer want or ones you gathered. Also looking for people to grow starts for us in the spring. I am trying to plan our Spring and Summer event schedule for both our nonprofit booth Zaniyan Center and our adjacent craft vending booth. We will be doing the Oregon Country Fair July 12-14 but the schedule is pretty open, want to do a few powwows, local to Eugene area smaller events, and a couple of large festivals can be anywhere in the PNW or NoCal. Please give suggestions and links to the events if possible in the comments.

This is so cool, I always wanted to do this, a mobile herbal bus, even bought a school bus for it years ago, but it never worked out. Plan on expanding our event schedule this year and offering free hot herbal tea as education, not a clinic, what they are doing is amazing.

Exciting News: I'm hitting the road for a book tour to promote my two newest books: Circle for the Earth and Eagletree Herbs Guide to Medicine Making. To make each stop even more meaningful (and fun!), I'm offering a free class alongside the tour called Herbs for the Zombie Apocalypse. In this class, I’ll cover essential emergency preparedness tips and share how herbs can help with real-life scenarios—like dealing with wildfire smoke or common health issues you might face in an emergency shelter.

I'm looking for community venues or bookstores willing to host these events. It could be anywhere that welcomes folks who love books, plants, and practical skills! I'll be driving to South Dakota in November, traveling along I-90 and I-84, and then focusing on Oregon in December.

If you know of a great spot or would like to sponsor a stop in your town, please let me know! You can also check out a sample flyer for more details.

Remember, 100% of the proceeds from both books go to support the nonprofit Zaníyan Center, so this tour is also for a great cause!

Is anyone from Eugene planning on going to the Okanogan Barter Fair? I will be driving up Wednesday Oct 9 with YoSayam Sun Art our tipi and booth for Zaniyan Center. A friend is also coming to help and we are trying to figure out logistics and how everything will fit. If you are driving, or want to come and don't have a ride, please contact me.
