Rebecca "Becky" Aucoin

Rebecca Aucoin was gently welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 19, 2026. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 starting at 11AM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice followed by a Funeral Service at 4PM to celebrate the life she led and all her wonderful achievements. The Acadiana Nursing Honor Guard will hold a service at 12:00 pm.

Rebecca “Becky” Aucoin found her greatest joys in life’s simple, meaningful moments. She loved spending peaceful days fishing at Chicot State Park, where she felt closest to nature and those she cherished. A devoted and thoughtful giver, Becky took pride in handcrafting gifts for her family, especially her homemade treats at Christmastime—a tradition that became a symbol of her love and care.

She had a nurturing spirit that carried through every aspect of her life. Becky enjoyed gardening, tending to both her plants and the people around her with equal dedication. Known affectionately in the kitchen as “Becky Crocker,” she had a gift for cooking that brought comfort and joy to all who gathered at her table.

Her compassion extended into her professional life as well. After attending nursing school at Louisiana State University at Eunice in the 1990s, she went on to serve her community as a nurse at a dialysis clinic, where her kindness and gentle care left a lasting impression on her patients. Prior to her calling in nursing, she worked at Tri-Parish Bank, building connections that would follow her throughout her life.

Becky leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Melanie Riviere, Nolton “Chuck” Riviere and his wife, Allie, and Jon Paul Riviere; her step children, Donna Taveney, Toni Martin, and Kimberly Wall; her honorary grandchild whom she loved like her own, Kaylee Bergeron; her grandchildren, Nathaniel Roberson, Owen Guillory, Audrey Guillory, Jackson Riviere, and Kate Riviere; and her brother, Nolton Fontenot. Becky will be remembered for her generous heart, her steady presence, and the love she so freely shared with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolton and Luella Fontenot; her brother, Jimmie Fontenot; and her grandparents, Celia Fontenot, Leo Fontenot, Archille Arneaud, and Aphrozeina Arneaud.
