Today was a great day! A great day for my family and a great day to be a Mason! It was an honor and privilege to participate in, and confer the degrees for Colton Smith! It was extremely special to watch Eddie Lynch as he raised the 4th generation of the Smith family to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason at 96 years old! It was a day that I will cherish forever, and a day that I will never forget!

Not everyone can become a Master Mason because Freemasonry is an organization with higher standards and requirements that not everyone wants to live by.

Not everyone can be an airplane pilot, and not everyone can be a doctor either.

The standards and requirements for becoming a Freemason are considerably more common than those other two examples, yet they are standards and requirements that not everyone will want to or be able to meet.

We are all glad to know that airplane pilots and doctors have high standards and requirements. In much the same way we are glad to know that all of our fellow Masons hold themselves to the higher standards and requirements that we do ourselves.

Freemasons are glad that they are part of a fraternity that they can be proud of and would recommend to anyone that has the desire to live by its system of higher morals and virtues.

Freemasonry is a good thing for everyone but not everyone is a good thing for Freemasonry.

You're attendance at meetings, whether as a Memeber, Officer or Past Master, is important in maintaining a Lodge, and assisting in how it should function. Freemasonry is a fraternity of men who meet and share fellowship with each other. Fellowship is essential as human beings, we are not meant to be alone. When you first join a Lodge, you may not understand, appreciate or agree with what is going on... But this is when it is essential for you to speak up, engage and help lead and govern your Lodge. When called on by your Lodge, you should always answer when fully able. We all have talents that your Lodge needs in order to thrive and function, and it is up to you to offer that talent. Laziness and indifference is just as bad, if not worse, than licentious activity...

Very informative and interesting show about the 150th anniversary of a Masonic Temple in Philadelphia!
