Meet Willie and Angela Reed! Willie and Angela are co-owners of Wise Reed Funeral Home. They have been married for 24 years and have two daughters, Mattie and Alana. Both Willie and Angela grew up in Eupora, Mississippi and are the children of Gail Reed and the late, Bill Reed and Shirley Pollan and the late, Jerry Pollan. Willie graduated from Eupora High School and attended East Mississippi Community College where he obtained an associate’s degree in Mortuary Science in 1999. Angela became a nurse in 2004. She was a Registered Nurse for 14 years before obtaining her Masters in 2018 as a Family Nurse Practitioner and has been a dedicated employee of North Mississippi since 2015. Together, they purchased Wise Funeral Home in 2013, and it officially became Wise Reed Funeral home. James Wise, the original owner of Wise Funeral Home, was not only a mentor but a great friend to Willie in his career. He taught Willie the importance of serving your community well and what it really means to be in the funeral business. Before his death, he told Willie that if he ever bought the funeral home to put his name next to his and that is just what he did. Willie and Angela are both dedicated to serving Webster County and surrounding counties with caring and compassionate hearts, both in their personal and professional lives.

Charles Gilmer Nail, of Chester Tomnolen Road, passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 90. He was the son of the late William “Willie” Nail and Eunice Medders Nail of Stewart.
Born in 1935, Charles was a native of Mississippi but spent many of his adult years in the state of Michigan. There, he co-owned a successful tree service. He later returned to Mississippi, where he ran A-1 Tree Service, until his retirement. In his later years, Charles enjoyed hummingbird watching, his dog Sparky, visiting with his family and friends, telling stories about old times, and spending time with his best friend, Robert Montana.
Charles is survived by one son, Kevin N. Mercier, of McComb, Mississippi; three daughters, Marjorie N. Bozeman, of McComb, Mississippi; Rebecca Kent of Clio, Michigan; and Angela Baliko, of Eupora; two sisters, Patricia Tierce of Stewart, Mississippi, and Virginia Mordecai of Eupora; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John Nail, William Nail, and James Nail, all from Stewart, Mississippi; and one sister, Faye Chamblee of Houston, Mississippi.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 11:00 to 1:00 at Wise Reed Funeral home, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. in the Wise Reed Chapel. The graveside service will also take place in the Chapel. Pallbearers are Joshua Baliko, Eric Yeatman, Heath Yeatman, and Hunter York. Wise Reed Funeral Home, located on 2568 West Roane Ave, Eupora, is entrusted with the arrangements.

Margaret Ann Collier Gifford, 89, of Eupora, Mississippi, went to be with her Savior on November 14, 2025. She was born on May 18, 1936, in Pelahatchie, Mississippi, to Sidney and Vesta Collier.

Ann was a devoted follower of Christ and lived her life with unwavering faith, kindness, and a servant’s heart. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she was known for her compassionate spirit and steadfast love for her family. Ann was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Eupora, where she faithfully served the Lord and her church community.

Ann married Dr. William Burton “Bill” Gifford on December 22, 1957, and together they shared almost 38 years of marriage before his passing in 1995. Ann’s life was marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and the many friends she made along the way.

In her free time, Ann enjoyed studying the Bible, gardening, cooking, and volunteering. She was an avid bridge player and especially cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Ann leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith, and gentle strength that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Raggio (Bobby) of Hernando, MS; her son, Steve Gifford (Amy) of Daphne, AL; her brother, Sidney Collier (Casey) of Pelahatchie, MS; and her grandchildren, Beth Ann Greisinger (Nick), Meredith Gifford, Christy Raggio, Billy Gifford, and Ben Gifford. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William B. Gifford; her parents; and three sisters, Nell Mashburn, Melba Collier, and Marjorie Dell Beasley.

A celebration of her life will be held on November 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church Eupora. Visitation will take place before the service from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Wise Reed Funeral Home is overseeing the arrangements.

Paula Jean Threet, 86, of Eupora, Mississippi, passed away on November 9, 2025. She was the daughter of the late J.B. Simpson, Sr. and Daisy Mae Blackwood Lollar.
Paula dedicated seventeen years of service to North Mississippi Medical Center–Eupora, where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was known for her compassion and unwavering care for her patients. Earlier in life, she was also employed with Garan and Wells Lamont.
Those who knew Paula remember her as both feisty and tenderhearted—honest always, but with a kindness and wisdom that never failed to comfort. She found great joy in her family, especially her grandchildren, and in nurturing her many plants and flowers, with a particular fondness for her beloved roses.
Paula is survived by two sons, Alvie Glen Threet, Jr. (Debbie) of Caledonia and Kenneth Wayne Threet of Eupora; two daughters, Margie Threet Hillhouse (Gerald) of Eupora and Nancy Threet Walters of Starkville; three brothers, J.B. Simpson Jr. (Annie Pearl) of Eupora; Woody Simpson (Pam) of Ackerman; and David Simpson of Huntsville; three sisters, Ellen Wright of Ethel, Cheryl Bell of Ethel, and Debbie Gupton of Gretna, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Michael Ezell (Adrienne), William Ezell (Andrea); Brittany Hillhouse Mann (Jamie); Corey Hillhouse (Jenna), and Ashley Threet; and nine great grandchildren, Gabe Threet, Brewer Mann, Hadley Mann, Matthew Hillhouse, Elizabeth Hillhouse, David Hillhouse, Falina Richards, Clarah Richards, and Matthan Henry.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Myra Henson and Linda Gail Saski.
Funeral visitation will be Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Wise Reed Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. in the Wise Reed Chapel, with the graveside service at McCurtain’s Creek Cemetery afterwards. William Roy Doyle October 12, 1946 – October 26, 2025

William Roy Doyle, age 79, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed peacefully at his home with his devoted wife, Brenda Clark Doyle, by his side.
Born in Maben, Mississippi, Roy was the beloved son of Roy “Brat” Jimison Doyle and Irma White Doyle. He cherished his upbringing in Maben, where he could often be found at his father’s movie theater on Main Street. His faith was nurtured at the Maben Methodist Church, where the foundation of his Christian life was formed and carried with him throughout his years.
Roy attended Maben School, where his mother was a teacher, and where he met the love of his life, Brenda Clark. At the tender age of fifteen, he declared his love for her, a love that would grow stronger over the decades. They were united in marriage on December 22, 1967, at Maben Methodist Church, and together they built a beautiful life filled with faith, laughter, and unconditional love. God blessed their marriage with a precious daughter, Carrie, who became the light of their lives.
A proud graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in Accounting, Roy also served faithfully in the Army Reserve for ten years. His professional journey reflected his dedication and integrity, serving as a purchasing agent for Weyerhaeuser Company in Bruce, Mississippi, for ten years, then continuing his career in Grenada for fourteen years. Later, he was transferred to Cleveland, Tennessee, where he was promoted to Regional Purchasing Manager, overseeing all Bowater mills throughout the South. He also skillfully negotiated and wrote contracts with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to secure power for the mills. Roy retired in 2009 after a long and respected career.
In retirement, Roy and Brenda made Cleveland their permanent home. They were members of the United Methodist Church in Cleveland and later attended a local non-denominational church near their home, where they continued to grow in their faith and fellowship.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Brenda Clark Doyle; their devoted daughter, Carrie Doyle Jones, and her husband, Dr. Shawn Raymond Jones along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who loved him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy “Brat” and Irma Doyle, and his grandparents William Ed and Lucy Doyle and Will and Ada White.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00–2:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. at Maben Community Church in Maben, Mississippi. Interment will follow at Maben Memorial Gardens. The service will be officiated by Reverend Adam Contreras.
Pallbearers will include Glenn Clark, Zac Clark, Jim Wise, Aubrey Clarke, Waymon Betts, and Ronnie Betts. Wise Reed Funeral Home is honored to oversee the arrangements.
Though Roy will be deeply missed on this earth, his family takes comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His life was a testimony of faith, love, and steadfast devotion — a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Larry Keith Campbell, age 53 was born on November 4, 1971, in Eupora, MS to Larry Campbell and Clovis Blake Power. He was always full of energy, being mischievous at times & keeping everyone on their toes. From a toddler to teen, he loved following his father's footsteps every step he made. He loved getting dirty, greasy & learning all he could about ATV's, motorcycles, automobiles & 18 wheelers. It was in his blood, & he spent most of his adult years driving for Campbell's Trucking & various other truck owners. He spent time helping his father with spreading lime & fertilizer for numerous farmers in the delta & other areas in MS. Having struggled with declining health for several years, he wasn't able to be as active as in his younger years. He continued to enjoy talking to his friends, spending time with family & offering assistance to his neighbors who lived near him. Preceded in death by his son: Jamie Larry Keith Campbell; Father: Larry G. Campbell; Mother: Clovis Blake Power; Maternal grandparents: Avie & Lucille Richardson Blake; Paternal Grandparents: Virble & Christene Boatman Campbell.

Candice Shantel Pelletier passed away on September 25, 2025, at the age of 36. Candace was born on December 22, 1988, in Starkville, Mississippi to Roye Pelletier and Cynthia Parker.
Candice was one of the most kind and beautiful souls, unless you messed with her family. Family was most important to Candace, especially her two children, Lexie and Colton. She loved listening to Lexie sing and would always say, “Colton is so cute. Isn’t he, momma?” She was incredibly proud of her kids. Candice also enjoyed crafting with her niece, Clara, making wreaths and bracelets.
Growing up, Candice loved playing softball, hanging out with her friends and painting her room a different color every month. She would always try to prove to her brothers that she was just as strong as them. She always kept her mom on her toes.
Most of all, Candice was loved. Her family would do anything for her, and she would do the same for them. She will be loved and miss forever.
Candice is survived by her children, Lexie and Colton Vaughn; parents Roye Pelletier, mother Cynthia Parker and Chuck Cole; two brothers Eric Blake Pelletier and Cameron Ryan (Ashleigh) Fisackerly ; her grandparents Ann Rushing, Joe and Joyce Pelletier, and David and Judy McGavic; three aunts Susan (Randy) Stuckey and Melissa (Chris) Fuller Lucas and Marie Miller (Bruce); two uncles Timothy Rushing and Walter Parker along with numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her uncle, Stacey Rushing Drewery.

Rodney Latham, age 73, passed away on September 23, 2025. Mr. Latham was born September 24, 1951, to William Latham and Esterlene Harmon Latham
Rodney was a lifetime resident of Eupora. He was born at the Eupora Hospital where CB&s Bank is now. Rodney worked for 30 years in the hospital setting as a Respiratory Therapist. He started out working at Webster General Hospital until it became North Mississippi Medical Center. Rodney also worked in medical supplies where he partnered with his longtime friend David Fields.
Rodney was an avid outdoorsman and loved the comradery with his hunting friends. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his heart.
Rodney is survived by his wife Nancy Latham; two sons Shane (Bobbie) White of Holcomb, Mississippi and Colin White of Holcomb, Mississippi; two grandchildren Josh White and Valerie White (Cade) Billingsley; two great-grandchildren Brayden Billingsley and Ava White and a host of nieces and nephews
Rodney is preceded in death by his parents William Latham and Esterlene Harmon Latham; two brothers Roy Lee Latham and Jim Latham; one sister Lois Hester
A visitation will be Saturday September 27, 2025, at Wise Reed Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, a service will follow at 11:00am, with the graveside service being held in the Wise Reed Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Spring Valley Cemetery in Mathiston, MS.
