I wasn't always a trainer. I used to carry extra weight and feel disconnected from my body.

That makes some people trust me less. But for my clients, mostly women 35+ navigating aging and life transitions, it makes me more credible. I've been there.

I don't train people to chase the body they had at 20. I help them train for the body they want in 20 years. Functional strength. Longevity. Movement that fits real life.

Ready to rebuild trust with your body and train on your own terms? DM me TRU WELLNESS.

RDL feeling awkward? You're not alone—and it's probably one of these three things.

(RDL = Romanian Deadlift. It's a hip hinge movement that targets your hamstrings and glutes without bending your knees as much as a traditional deadlift. Think: pushing your hips back like you're closing a car door with your butt.)

Swipe through to see the most common RDL mistakes I see with my clients... and how to fix them so you can actually feel it working the right muscles.

Your trainer's count and your count during planks are NOT the same timeline. 😂

Pretty sure my 10 seconds is their full minute. That burn you're feeling? That's the space-time continuum breaking during an isometric hold.

How do YOU survive when your trainer starts counting? 👇

Interviewed by our local paper about the Community Center's weight room upgrades a few months back, and honestly? It's been a game-changer for the people I work with.

New mirrors mean you can actually see if your form is off (which matters way more than how much weight you're lifting). Rubber floors mean less stress about dropping dumbbells when you're hitting failure.

It's rewarding working for a nonprofit that actually invests in making fitness accessible. Swipe to see what I told the Times Echo about the upgrades 👉

Feeling the best I've ever felt in my 40s. Not just physically. Mentally, too.

Here's what I've learned: You're not the same person you were 20 years ago, or even 10 years ago. As you age, you need to reflect on who you are NOW and what actually serves you in this season.

For me, peaking in my 40s looks like...

Spring cleaning the mental clutter:
- Letting go of personal beliefs that no longer serve me
- Spending more time in nature
- Staying hydrated (sounds simple, but it matters)
- Limiting rest, increasing movement
- Prioritizing meaningful time with friends outside the gym

In the gym, it's about:
- Letting go of my ego (it's not about being the biggest or heaviest lifter in the room)
- Lifting for the body I have now, not the one I had at 25 (my recovery isn't what it used to be 😅)
- Training for the body I want 20-30 years from now (mobility in my 70s+ sounds pretty good to me)

You don't have to peak in your 20s or 30s. You get to define what peaking looks like for you, right now.

There's something about spring that just wakes you back up.

When I step outside into that warm air, feel the sun, take a deep breath, it brings everything back to life. My body feels ready to move again.

If you're feeling that too, lean into it. Get outside. Take a walk. Let the sun hit your face. Your body's been waiting for this.

What's one thing you're looking forward to doing outside this spring? Drop it below. 👇

Make a bit of a chaotic shake with me. Hey, I'd rather stack everything into one drink to ensure I'm getting what I need after a tough workout. 😅

Link in bio for the Creatine HMB details.

What's your post-workout routine? Simple or stacked like mine?

Missed a week at the gym? Here's the truth: nothing catastrophic happened.

Days 1-3: Your body is just resting. Muscles intact, strength still there.

Days 4-7: Your muscles might feel a little less toned (glycogen + water, not muscle loss), but you're not losing progress.

Real muscle loss doesn't start until 2-3 weeks of complete inactivity... and even then, it's gradual.

The actual problem isn't the week off. It's the guilt spiral that makes you think you've blown it, so you stop showing up altogether.

One week doesn't erase months of work. Just go back. Pick up where you left off. That's what real consistency looks like.

Your heart is the hardest-working muscle you have. This circuit takes care of it—alternating upper and lower body keeps blood flowing strong.
