This is a monkey pod pastry board with a cuban mahogany counter lip. The monkey pod has beautiful heart wood figure contrasted with a few areas of sap wood (light). The cuban mahogany lip is meant to butt up against the edge of a counter top to make rolling out pastry easier.

This has been one of my favorite projects to date. This is a tool chest made from Lemon Eucalyptus, Cuban Mahogany, and spalted maple. I made two of these chests, one as a gift and the other with the intention of selling. I enjoyed the project and loved the result so much that I decided to keep it as a keepsake box. I used a hard wax finish that is able to be continuously buffed and reapplied adding to the depth of finish each time. I find myself doing this on days that I need to ”re-center” myself. When I am asked to make a custom piece or I make a piece to sell I strive to create something that provides this feeling to others, to create something that becomes better with age and is passed from generation to generation.

This is a project that I completed as a kitchen organizer. The shelves and table top are made from 1.5” thick Douglas Fir. The table design is inspired by my love of timber frame structures. The table top support is a representation of a post, beam, and brace.

This is a monkey pod coffee table that I made this past summer. It is made from a live edge “cookie”. Being a cookie means it has live edge around it’s circumference and you can see the growth rings of the tree.

These were this years donations to the Kalispell Logan Health Children’s Hospital. This was our first Christmas in Montana and first time donating to this children’s hospital. This years toys were the CH-47 Chinook, MH-60 Jayhawk, and C-27 Spartan. Each aircraft came equipped with a magnet that picked up its “payload”.
