The first responder at the scene reported “hot arching and sparking” from the downed lines and requested that PG&E expedite its response.

Monday, September 1. Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers and is traditionally observed on the first Monday in September. It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894. We will be closed Monday and reopen Tuesday with normal business hours.

This 1977 print copy of “Here’s How by Reed Cockerill” was a relevant resource at the fingertips of most households for a multitude of everyday questions. Their pocket-sized booklets, often coated in a waterproof material, made it easy to carry in one’s pocket or purse, and were just about the size of the modern-day smartphone! The information is fascinating and can still be applied in most current-day activities and projects.
