Today we celebrate our nurses... the heart of patient care and a vital part of the GWCH team.💙

Happy Nurses Day to each and every one of you who shows up with compassion, strength, and dedication to care for our patients and our community. The impact you make every single day does not go unnoticed. 🫶

While this photo captures just a few of the incredible nurses who serve GWCH (and yes… they had a little fun with a JCPenney-style pose and a classic pose 😊), it represents something much bigger. We are so grateful for all of our nurses across every department. 🎉

Thank you for the long hours, the steady hands, the kind words, and the care you give so selflessly.

Today and every day, we appreciate you.

GWCH staff were honored to place a memorial rock on our Memorial Wall in honor of Linda Dauber. 🌿 Linda was a truly special person who touched the lives of so many through her kindness, dedication, and caring spirit during her many years as Dietary Director.

In her memory, staff came together to raise funds for this tribute and also made donations to the Auxiliary in her honor. It is a beautiful reminder of the lasting impact one person can have on a workplace, a community, and the hearts of those around them. ❤️

Linda will always be remembered with gratitude and love. 🕊️

Tisha was nominated by several staff members who highlighted her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication to those around her. Her willingness to step in, support others, and bring encouragement to the workplace does not go unnoticed. 🥰

It is team members like Tisha who help create the kind of environment our patients and community depend on every day.

👏 Help us congratulate Tisha in the comments and celebrate the team members who make GWCH special. 🎉

Our Nurse Educator, Beth, is helping keep our nursing team prepared and confident by providing PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) training for staff. 📚This important education helps ensure our nurses stay current on lifesaving skills needed to care for pediatric patients during emergencies.

We are grateful for Beth’s dedication to education and for team members who are committed to continued learning as we continue providing quality care close to home. 💙

We had a full class of GWCH staff staying up to date with their BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications. 💯 Ongoing training like this helps ensure our team is prepared to respond quickly and confidently when every second matters.

For our community, having skilled and certified healthcare professionals close to home brings peace of mind and strengthens the care available right here in Greenwood County. We are proud of our staff for their dedication to continued learning and excellence. ✨

🎉 Last week, GWCH had the honor of celebrating team members reaching milestone anniversaries in 5-year increments of service. Their dedication, compassion, and hard work help keep quality care close to home for our community each and every day.

While not everyone was pictured, all honorees were recognized by our CEO, Sandy Dickerson. With the many different schedules that come with hospital life, it can be a challenge to gather everyone in one place at the same time, but each person was proudly celebrated.

Please join us in congratulating:

⭐ Jennifer Eagleson – 5 Years
⭐ Rhonda Adkins – 5 Years
⭐ Taylor McCalla – 5 Years
⭐ Edz Pineza – 5 Years
⭐ Addison Heppler – 5 Years
⭐ Karen Rushmore – 10 Years
⭐ Katy Heppler – 20 Years

We are truly blessed with the best, and we are grateful for the heart each of these team members brings to GWCH every day. 🥰
