VINTAGE T-SHIRT CONTEST

Enter to win 1 of 2 vintage-design Charleston Chew candy bar t-shirts. Purchase any Charleston Chew candy bar between 8/26 and 9/5 at Eureka Drug for a chance to win. One ticket per purchase per day. Winners will be announced on the Eureka Drug page on 9/6, and will also be contacted directly by phone.

Charleston Chew is a candy bar consisting of marshmallow flavored nougat covered in chocolate flavor coating. It was created in 1922 by the Fox-Cross Candy Company, founded by stage actor Donley Cross and his friend Charlie Fox. The candy was named after the Charleston, a popular dance at that time.
The company was purchased in 1957 by Nathan Sloane and later sold to Nabisco in 1980. Although Sloane did not invent the Charleston Chew, he did change the candy's original form, chocolate-covered vanilla nougat.
In the 1970s, he introduced such new flavors as chocolate and ~strawberry~. Warner-Lambert purchased Charleston Chew from RJR Nabisco in 1988, then Tootsie Roll Industries purchased the brand from Warner-Lambert in 1993.

Eureka Drug is currently accepting applications for a PART-TIME, ENTRY-LEVEL RETAIL CASHIER position. Daily duties include direct customer interaction, operating a cash register, assisting with inventory management, cleaning tasks and other duties as assigned. This is a great position for anyone looking for a first job, learning valuable retail experience, or for those just looking to pick up a few hours/week.

No pharmacy experience required!

High school-aged applicants - we can work with you to accommodate your academic and most athletic commitments.

Interested applicants should provide a copy of their resume to the retail manager, in-store, at Eureka Drug. Initial questions can be answered at that time.
