Del Norte County Community 29th Annual Health Faire!

This year’s theme is “29 & Time to Shine!” Together, we can transform lives, foster hope, and create a healthier future for our community.
This event will bring people together to share resources, connect with one another, and inspire change. Families show up for the free resources and giveaways, but they leave with so much more: knowledge, connections, and a renewed sense of community.

Area 1 Agency on Aging will be there to engage and share the Programs we provide to Del Norte County residents!

Join us at Beachfront Park off Front Street in Crescent City from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025. This is a non-smoking event, and we promise it will be filled with opportunities to empower and uplift everyone who attends.

Hope to see you on July 26!

MONDAY, OCTOBER 1ST is the International Day of Older Persons.
The day is an opportunity to reflect on the rich contributions seniors have made and continue to make to society.
As we celebrate older persons around the world, we cannot forget that too many are forgotten and left behind. Inequalities remain a major obstacle to improving the lives of older persons, particularly older women.
But there is cause for celebration and hope. This past July, the United Nations member states began discussing the rights of older persons, renewing calls for a convention on older people’s rights
The theme for the 2024 United Nations International Day of Older Persons is "Ageing with Dignity: The Importance of Strengthening Care and Support Systems for Older Persons Worldwide"
The theme highlights the need to strengthen support systems for older people worldwide.
