My sourdough starter (1st pic) has gone crazy and filled the bowl! The tape mark on the side of the bowl was the level when I mixed it up. Time to bake some bread.

Head coverings are very important when working with food. I found this hat at Disney World when we went a few weeks ago to watch our daughter run the Disney Marathon. During Marathon weekend, the Disney ESPN Sports complex is set up for the RunDisney Expo. The arena floor is filled with info, maps, bus times, and vendors selling equipment, clothing and energy snacks for the runners. I thought this hat was appropriate for my baking business. It was the only hat with cookies on it, so of course it was meant for me. 😂

UPDATE: I am still open the rest of the day today. With the weather forecast showing severe cold, this will probably be the last day open in January. Get your hot chocolate bombs today and stay warm this weekend!

Current plans are to be open for a few days before Superbowl Sunday with football themed treats for the big game. Will also have more bread for you sourdough fans.

HOT CHOCOLATE BOMBS
freshly made last night will be for sale in the Sweet Shop today (Thursday) starting at 9:00am. They are $4 each or an assortment pack of 4 for $15. A perfect hot drink for the extreme cold that will hit us tomorrow.

I also have cinnamon rolls and cookies leftover from yesterday.

UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who came by today. Sourdough completely sold out. I did see the note that I need more plain sourdough. I will try to make some additional loaves next time. I have 8 cinnamon rolls left and also some cookies. I will put them in the Sweet Shop building tomorrow morning at 9:00.

People ask me why I don’t take online payments. Honestly, it’s to save me the hassle of being scammed. It happens more often than you think. I’ve had many people ask to place an order, but as soon as I tell them that I only accept cash or check at pickup, they suddenly stop all communication. Usually their page is either non-existent, or all of their posts are in a foreign language. They were never interested in placing an order. They were only interested in my online information. There’s also the matter of extra fees that I would have to pay for online services. I don’t make a lot of money from baking and I try to keep the prices low for you. I’m sorry for the inconvenience. I’m just running a local hobby business for the local communities.

I am watching the weather closely. I will try to open on Wednesday and Thursday this week. It looks to be slightly warmer on those days. Stay tuned here for more information and items available. I’ll get the oven warmed up. 😁

We spent the last few days cheering for our daughter as she ran the Disney Marathon. Not only did she complete the marathon, but she completed the D***y Challenge which is 4 races, the 5k, 10k, half marathon and the full marathon, 4 days in a row. But it’s time to get back to baking. Who wants some cinnamon rolls, sugar cookies, and sourdough bread next week?
