Frankincense and Copaiba essential oil are two of our most popular and versatile essential oils. I’m sure you’ve heard me say before, “When in doubt get your Frankincense out.” I’ve since added Copaiba to that statement. They complement each other well, yet they still have unique benefits to offer.

Categorizing essential oils by plant part is a popular concept, and while it can be helpful to view the oils in this way, it’s important to remember that they still have their own irreplaceable qualities. Answer: Yarrow is a very unique essential oil—not only because of its deep blue color, but also because its diverse chemical makeup may provide some fascinating cellular, immune, and nervous system health supporting properties.* When examining the existing research, it became clear that the symbiosis between its composition and spectrum of benefits and that of Pomegranate Seed oil could create something quite powerful. Pomegranate Seed oil is a great alternative as a carrier because experimental research suggests it may have skin health supporting properties and is rich in punicic acid and several other bioactive compounds. Experimental research suggests that punicic acid may provide protective benefits for certain body tissues.* So, not only does the inclusion of Pomegranate Seed oil increase the skin soothing and cleaning properties of Yarrow, but it may also strengthen the various internal benefits.* The blending of Yarrow and Pomegranate Seed oils is a perfect way to take advantage of our increased understanding of synergy.

There are many ways to categorize and classify essential oils. One way is to group them by the part of the plant they come from. In this post, I want to highlight a few of our essential oils that come from the flower. While each of these flowers may be very different from one other and come from different regions of the world, I think it’s important to note that they offer a lot of the same properties. With that being said, don’t forget to take notice of their unique properties. I think that’s what’s so great about essential oils. Take a look at the following table to see how these oils relate and differ from one another.
